The coffee here was the best I had in Chicago over three days. The Barista was excellent and provided good advice and delivered an excellent drink. It was a spontaneous stop that provided the best surprise on the trip.

I went to grab a cup of late night coffee. The barista is very knowledgeable and friendly, and we had a nice chat while waiting for my pour over. He offered a sample elixir, their mixed drink that has charcoal in it. The pour over station is fancy, and the coffee I got was great. Pretty good first impression.

Honestly i used to come here all the time but lately my experience has been awful. Why am i paying $7 for a latte when there’s only one person working and it takes forever? And what kind of coffee shop doesn’t have pastries???

First came here in May, and was happy to see that it's still consistently good with lattes. It's right across the street from the park, so it's perfect to stop and get your drink before walking thru millennium park. They don't have much indoor seating but there's an outdoor patio.

Fresh coffee beans but you obliterate the milk and burn it.. Not a great coffee might just be a poorly trained barista.

Loved that through this local coffee shop we were able to try coffee from roasters all over the country.

Pour-over (and espresso-based) coffee place inside the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. Nice staff, good coffee. What else do you need?!

Hugo Lorenzo

Small coffee shop, not the best coffee but very unique and familiar atmosphere. Not much tables and chairs

The cash register lady was the nicest person in the entire world even if the store was packed. Also, the barista guy was super nice and made me one of the best coffees I have had in my life. Eternally grateful for this great team! 🙌🙌🙌

I had 2 coffee dates at Fairgrounds when I was visiting Chicago. The staff aren't particularly friendly (one of them yelled at me for waiting for my order outside, despite the cashier telling me they could bring it out since I was out with my dog.) But the coffee is quite good, and they've got a couple of quick vegan options (overnight oats and a chia seed cup) if you need it! It's also in a beautiful, old building and conveniently located across from Millennium Park.
