Favorite Cafe Miel (aka a latte) in Chicago! I will go out of my way to make a stop here!

We had the best experience here!
It started with the host greeting us and making us feel welcome. It seemed that he was slightly confused because we were asking some fairly odd (odd because they probably should have been obvious!) questions, such as “Is this a coffee shop? Can we sit down?” He took it in stride and realized we didn’t know what we actually walked into.

Great coffee for actually reasonable price. It's $3 for bottomless drip coffee! There are interesting latte flavors (like one with maple syrup, sage and black pepper) and a couple of sandwich and pastry options. Very cool vibe.

Eric and Audrey are the best! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee their offering! I have the Vanilla Suburbs I believe. I will be returning for sure!!!

What a lovely place.
The beverage offerings were vast, and the food was delicious.
The only lacking is the absence of any padded seating. They might also soften the lighting a bit.

I've been coming here for over 10 years. I love the ambiance, the staff, and the coffee is the best in the city. Plenty of room to work and read. There are food options as well.

Spacious, artsy coffee shop that sells both coffee and tea (oolong, green, Earl grey, white tea). Tried their oolong tea, it's perfecto if you like dark, toasty teas. There's also an nice outdoor area. Very quick, efficient, and affordable. Would come back for a great study space!

What a beautiful and smooth almond milk latte in a funky and offbeat cafe. My husband enjoyed his vegan Snickerdoodle cookie. I tried a bite too (it was good). Definitely a place to check out if you're in the area!

They make a great latte. I thought it was a bit overpriced when I paid but quickly changed my mind when I tried it! The staff was friendly and quick, and I would definitely come back here for the vibe to hang out when I have more time.

Update: It's a difficult update to make because we've been loyal fans of this shop since it opened. However, they've changed the chocolate they use in their drinks to something that's "homemade". This new chocolate has a flavor profile that makes it undrinkable because it has an over powering sour/bitter taste. My kids don't like the hot chocolate anymore and the iced mochas taste sour. Hopefully they will go back to their old chocolate or at least offer it as an option. Until then it's sadly time to find a new neighborhood spot.

Love our neighborhood coffee shop. Always a friendly crew behind the counter. Ample outdoor seating when the weather cooperates. Great drinks and the kids love the hot chocolate.
