Payette Dream Coffee House and Diner

We ordered a very simple breakfast, I had a waffle and sausage and my husband pancakes and eggs with ham. My waffle was cold and my husband never did get his pancake! Horrible service and worse food. As I went to pay after being there for an hour and a half I spotted my husband's pancakes sitting in the window. I knew they were his as he ordered them with peanut butter. When I pointed that out to the cashier she asked if we wanted them🤣 really?! As we left walking up the road to our car, there was our waitress out back on her phone. Never will I ever go back there!

There is no service, don't waste your time to get some food or drink

Very limited menu when we visited during the winter carnival and some of the items on the menu weren't available. Service was decent and the food was pretty good, maybe a tad overpriced. The seating area was very clean.

I really hate to do this but I've been to this diner twice, two months apart and had subpar service both times. We tried the first time for lunch and there were only a few tables of four ahead of us and it took 40 minutes to get a couple sandwiches, but the were at least pretty good. The second time, we took some out of town friends there for breakfast and there was only one table that had ordered ahead of us and it took an hour to get our food! The other table got their food after we ordered, ate, and left before ours came out. It seemed like there were only 4 people working the entire restaurant on a Sunday morning. When we finally got our food, it was cold! There were four of us but we got really basic meals that shouldn't have taken nearly that long. I hope they can get it together because I think they do have good food and a great location, but unfortunately I won't be going back.

I like the new setup, connected to the diner with an arcade in back. Listened to an employee crying about her job the whole time I was there, which wasn't fun. But, delicious ice cream and a great americano drink. Ice cream scoops are big, definitely got our money's worth!

Unfortunately, the Diner was closed by the time we got here at 1pm. Google said their hours were til 4pm, their website said 2pm, but they were closed before 1pm when we walked up

Good food, nice atmosphere.
Service takes time, but they are nice.

I ordered a cheeseburger and steak fries with an ice tea, asked for lemon they were out which is fine. When I got my food my cheeseburger was cold and red, the fries are not steak fries! I ate a few fries and than pushed my plate to the end of the table the waitress asked if she could take it( didn’t ask if anything was wrong since only a few bites were missing and a bite of cheeseburger which I had spit out was on the plate) didn’t care to fix it or make it right. Not impressed!! Horrible customer service and I would have got a better cheaper meal at MCD’s!

My daughter and I were craving ice cream. We found Payette Dream, and according to online they were open. But they were actually closed. They still served us, my daughter had Rainbow Sherbet, I had Lemon Sorbet. Really yummy, hit the spot. The young lady was really nice and sweet. Thank you!

When you walk in there's two separate lines, there's one for the coffee and one for the ice cream. We stood in front of the ice cream line for 10 minutes and no one came to help us. I had to ask the teenager behind the counter if they could help us with the ice cream while they help everybody else get coffees because there was no one in the ice cream section helping. He said sure we'll be there in a minute. We continued to wait for another 10 minutes before he finally decided to send one of the other two people behind the counter with him to come and help us. I would not recommend coming here if you want ice cream.
