Brought grandchildren in for ice cream. Very young person behind ice cream counter could not even scoop ice cream. Kept saying it was too hard. Also, she kept having her friend text someone. Seemed more interested in her phone as opposed to customers. After waiting in line for more than 20 minutes, we got our 2 cones. We sat down to eat and the same employee came up and said they needed to close and we had to leave. Never mentioned closing time when serving the ice cream. I asked to speak to a manager or get the phone number and was told that information could not be shared. After leaving the restaurant, talked with another party that was evicted from the restaurant. They too were upset but not as much since they were asked to leave before they even paid. Heck of a way to run a business. Will never go back.

Awful, rude, snotty, staff that will argue with you simply on how you order. I will walk across town next time.

Day trip to McCall from Boise. Found this awesome spot. Great food. Great service. Will be back.

We had the worst experience in their coffee shop this morning. The workers had no customer service skills, and would leave you standing there while they just hung out and talked. It was like the customers didn’t even exist. They had no care to help people and keep the line (that was to the door) moving. There was only 4 people in front of us and it took nearly 30 mins to get our drinks. There was two girls that kept running out and hanging out with a group of people at one of the tables, and just leaving two other girls to run the front by themselves even though they were obviously new. They were asking us customers how to make the drinks. Two of the girls did not have there hair tied back and one of them kept wiping there nose with their hand. When it was finally our time to order they made us stand there for at least 5 minutes before even acknowledging us, and it was not like they were too busy to help us they were literally just standing there talking to each other. When I finally got my drink it was literally milk, caramel, and sugar. THEY DID NOT EVEN PUT COFFEE IN IT. Then I asked one of them kindly if I could either have a refund or get the drink remade and she glared and just said “okay”. It’s really sad to see workers like this because they don’t even realize their actions are putting the business in in jeopardy.

It was absolutely delicious, hamburgers cooked just right. Ordered extra jalopenos and I got lots! The waitress was friendly and like joking around. Definitely go back.

This morning, Ordered cappuccino. Insolent unfriendly girl made a heavy latte 2 times. No apology, only argued. Was very rude. Shouldn't be making coffee drinks when she doesn't know how. Nor should she be working in a customer service business. Bad for this businesses reputation.

Great food, a little short staffed like most places post COVID. Our brunch was excellent.

Waited over 30mins to try to get on the list to wait for a table (only 4 families in front of me ) unstable your busy problem me and others had is the majority of the staff had horrible attitudes ... Recommended treating your employees better and not yell at your employees and belittle them in front of your customers. That's what turned me and the remaining groups to leave. TREAT YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER MIGHT CREAT A BETTER ATMOSPHERE we would wait for service then.

This was our last day in McCall and we decided to eat breakfast here since every restaurant in McCall was absolutely amazing. Well Payette Dream turned into a Nightmare:
my bacon was burned and too crispy, my coffee was a soy mocha (it didn't taste the same as the coffee I ordered from the cafe connected and co-owned by this diner, yesterday) was horrible, the gravy for the biscuits n gravy was from a packet and it tasted thick/salty/and too much pepper definitely made me think of the country gravy packets at the store, the biscuits were dry and awful, the french toast my partner got was awful and the sausage patty was also salted?!
Everything was not great we did not finish the meal, every thing had way too much salt on it.
Needless to say if you want a good breakfast in McCall please visit the Pancake House. Their gravy is homemade, we finished our entire meals there and it was barely 20ish $. I am sad that this meal cost 36$ + I would have asked for a refund.
