Sweet Stuff

This is the famous ice cream parlour that serves you square ice cream. All of the ice cream here is delicious, the cones are incredible. The staff is polite. And the setting is very cute like a 70s diner in a small town. If your ever traveling even past lava, I recommend stopping and helping your self to devilishly divine ice cream!

Ice cream was great, but the workers were trying so hard to get the line down that they were yelling at everyone and rushing them to order. Also a gal in our group could taste peanut butter in her huckleberry ice cream. That's not safe!

It was a good place with variety. Places to sit and chat while you eat the ice cream.

Ice cream tasted old and cheap, and we were rushed for nothing impressive.

Haven't had icecream here. Sandwich was very good. Good place to hang out for lunch. Tables inside, so you can eat there. They also have candy here. Girl working here was very friendly, too. Good food and good experience will bring people back.

We were heading out of town after our two day stay and really wanted some pez that they had for sale. Unfortunately this was 10:30 AM and they open at noon. The owners happened to be working when we called and happily let us in to help us. Great customer service and definitely appreciated.

We ordered a three scoop sundae -the second most expensive item on the menu. It came in a one pint cup and with three scoops, toppings and whipped cream it didn't even come to the top of the rim of the cup. The ice cream was terrible with ice crystals. We asked the 14 year old girls-three of them, one hanging over the counter with her boyfriend) and were told they were "kid sized." I asked for the managers name and the heavier girl said she couldn't tell me and when I persisted she said "Sheila." Don't believe the reviews here.

Stop in for the ice cream!!!!! Definitely worth coming in for, esp on a waffle cone. The line moves every very quickly and we were impressed!!! The parlines and creme ice cream was seriously amazing!!!

We always make sure we pay this place a visit when we are in lava hot springs. The ice cream is delicious and the ambience gives a sweet nostalgia with the candy that they sell. Things like rock candies, huge lollipops, gummy burgers, sugar daddies, etc. The place is well kept, clean, and decorated to remind you of older times.

We love to visit when we come to Lava. Something about it triggers nostalgia. The square ice cream scoop, waffle cones, old school sweets, and homemade fudge keep us coming back.
