The District Coffee House

The coffee isn't bad. Counter people are hit or miss.. I've had super friendly outgoing ones that make the difference of my experience and then other visists I've felt like I just interrupted their book reading by coming in... and feel like if I ordered something that would actually require them to be a barista would be asking too much...

Love this place!

Great coffee and a very cool coffeehouse. I could work in there for hours.

I heard there was a Nutella drink, made with REAL Nutella. So I'll definitely have to be trying that as well.

I love this place! It is nonprofit, and all the proceeds go to support orphanages in India. Super hipster feel inside, great place to do some homework or something! They have live music quite a bit here too.

Probably the best coffee shop in Boise, but that's saying more about the city's coffee scene than the quality of the shop.

The real problem with this place is consistency. I've been here a few times a month for over a year out of necessity, and only a hand full of times have I had a good pour over or espresso drink. Often the pour overs are very bitter and the cappucinos have a tough shell of foam on top instead of the smooth, creamy drink you'd hope for. It may be a problem with untrained baristas, as I see different faces making my coffee pretty often, but who knows.

The two stars are for the coffee. I would give the space itself a 4/5. The decor and ambience are cozy, and local bands play here a few times a week in the evening.

Super cute coffee shop with friendly baristas, minimalist decor and great location. Plenty of outlets if you're needing to do work and a patio that gets lovely morning sun. Will be back!!

I cannot rave about The District Coffee House enough. I frequent this location because the service is top shelf and the coffee is incredible. It's a great place to meet for business or pleasure because you can actually have a conversation without shouting.

Great location in down town. Very open and calm atmosphere. Worked well for my business meeting.

I tend go here on Saturday nights usually. I really enjoy the warm atmosphere. The food is incredible, unfortunately it isn't served at night. I recommend this place as a nice chill place to hang out and meet some nice people. Love the WiFi i consider it to be very fast.

These guys are soooooo AMAZING!! Absolutely love the vibe and warm welcome! Also they have the BEST coffee and of you dont know what you want the staff has the best recommendations EVER!!!!!

Usually love coming here to study and grab a chai! I just recently went there and asked for a chai with a little bit more spice (cinnamon and nutmeg). My chai was SO spicy I could not drink it. I tried adding water and milk to it and it still burned my mouth. Then when I went to throw it away I saw a thick 1 inch layer of spices! Probably won’t be coming back anytime soon:/
