The District Coffee House

Update 7/9/2018: The District seems to have been purchased by Form & Function. I find that the coffee is a bit more bitter than the previous coffee. Employees are still friendly, but, there is no listing for a cuban latte anymore...

A great place to grab a quad-shot americano from friendly baristas. The cuban latte is also recommended!

Best French Press coffee in the Boise area. Also, the environment here super chill. They have lines forming here around 10:30 so get here early to get a seat!

Cool venue, being underground and plenty of space to have a conversation without someone eavesdropping. I've been in there 2 times, both to order coffee, not their food (which is why I didn't rate it). Both times my order has been forgotten, one being a simple drip coffee and the other a mocha. These weren't particularly busy times, I just think they key in on their food business. Unfortunate, because they're labeled for coffee. I threw The District a bone twice, and both times they sniffed and walked away. No wonder they're empty at night while Java and Flying M are packed. You've got your work cut out for you District!

This coffeeshop is the best kept secret come to life. They always have great local art for sale, they make known where/who their profits benefit, and the business is maintained by good local people. I will always recommend it to new friends and acquaintances... Old ones too! Try the almond milk chai, extra foam too! This coffeeshop is hip and trendy but never pretentious. It is evident in the atmosphere why people visit. It is clean, and yet homey. Props to the design crew too! Absolutely love the turquoise couch.

Staying a the Hyatt across thee street looking down into The District Coffee House. No Mask....The baker keeps wiping her face as she prepares the baked goods. This is one place I will be avoiding!

First time at the District Coffee House and will be the last. Ordered two large hot cocoa and it took over 10 minutes to get them. All while the people behind the counter made orders for customers that came in after us. We had to say something to them before they even realized we were still standing there waiting.

The staff is so friendly, the atmosphere is so calming, and the scones oh so good. The patio is in such a lovely part of downtown and just makes the whole experience worth it.

Yummy coffee. Great location!
