Ohhhhhhhh love this little spot!!! It's such a cute cafe. It was quick stop for us on our way to the north side of town. The inside is so bright and cool looking. The walls are filled with really cool art work. They have breakfast, lunch, pastries and coffee. The pastries and desserts looked all amazing, I wanted one of each. I ended up ordering a mac nut latte with macadamia milk..... oh it was delicious!!!! It had a delicious creamy nutty taste, not too sweet. So yummy!!! I enjoyed it till the last drop.

Well worth the 15 minute wait to order and 35 minute wait for food! Ricotta pancakes were terrific, as was the bagel with scrambled eggs.

Great food, friendly service. Outdoor seating available.

My favorite place for coffee on the island, the workers are so friendly and their breakfast sandwiches are well made. It’s a little pricey but the quality makes up for it!

Sure, it’s cutesie patootsie. Sure, it’s a Instagram hotspot. But damn! Hands down the best place to get coffee and matcha on the island. The staff is super friendly, the quality of taste is fantastic, and their music choices inside are a vibe. Will definitely be back for more!

I don’t normally write reviews, but this has bothered me all day. My girlfriend and I arrived at about 830 with a medium sized line. No problem waitin as we understand the staffing shortages and other issues that could lead to a wait. We waited our turn but once we saw a sign telling us to skip the line and order online we decided to give it a try! But didn’t want to get out of line as we did not want to cut in front of anyone. When we got to the counter they refused to listen to any of my questions and seeming only heard pick up order. They sent us to the back of the restaurant, I was confident the cashier wasn’t understanding what we were trying to communicate and I tried again to clarify and was interrupted for a 2nd time and told to go to the back. We did and we were then told that we needed to wait longer. The entire time being treated as though we were being rude and I have worked in retail so I make it a point to be extremely kind and considerate as in my experience customers aren’t always as understanding as I would like. My girlfriend and I were so frustrated we just found a couple that would enjoy our food ( our enjoyment was ruined at this point). If I had any advice it would be one line and one way of ordering. I just hope to save another couple the frustration.

Echoing everyone else - Great coffee shop with solid food options. On the pricey side but prob justified since I don’t think you’ll find a better cafe than this in Kauai

Fantastic breakfast, brunch or lunch place. You should not skip on your trip to Kapa’a. The Surfer Gril Sandwich is great, Papaya and bagel fantastic, good coffee what else do you need?

Cool vibe, very popular, generous portions. Flavored coffee was pretty sweet but that’s standard everywhere, it seems. Open restrooms even in covid.

Me & my college friends LOVED visiting Java Kai during our study abroad trip to Kaua'i. The vibe is super cool. They offer a wide range of coffees, smoothies, pastries, breakfast, and lunch items. My friend got an iced Shark Bite, not only is it a creative and memorable drink, but it was also delicious! The interior is smaller, but the outdoor seating is lovely. I really, really loved this cafe and we took a lot of photos here.
