With an owner that's super experienced working in specialty coffee, TRY is always very meticulous about the roasters and the beans that they feature in the shop. It's a multi-roaster store so they rotate their coffee options frequently, and somehow they're always able to secure rare and exciting coffees!
Highly recommend visiting multiple times to try different filter coffee options. For those that don't drink black coffee, it's worth noting that they also have some of the best-trained baristas on the island as far as milk-steaming and pouring techniques, so their Cappuccinos and Lattes are super on point as well.
Added bonus - there's a nice lanai with plenty of seats.
My new favorite coffee shop in Honolulu! You can’t beat the 2nd story views and the coffee is delicious and well done. I got a cortado made from their Tatmara Natural and you can really taste the flavors listed in the bag, unlike some other shops that may burn their espressos. Plenty of space/outlets/seats and the bathrooms are clean as well. Add in plenty lanai garden plants and a strong A/C system inside and it can’t be beat! No need to go anywhere else 🌺🤙🏼🌸
2-2-22: Read about this place a few days ago and was eager to sample their coffee! Really enjoyed the Ethiopian beans. Got a nice cup of lightly roasted coffee with plum 🎵.
They only make pour over coffee, which is my preference! Would definitely come back again for more morning coffee!
TRY coffee is my favorite cafe on island because: (1) The drinks are perfect (2) The service and staff are V kind and helpful in answering questions (3) The location is a bit hidden which makes it feel even more special (4) They have bagels every Wednesday morning
Owner and staff all love coffee. Honestly would come here just to chat with them as they are super friendly, and just as enthusiastic about coffee as I am. Owner will regularly bring in coffees from all around the world and also willing to listen to requests! Highly recommend even if you are not a coffee person, as they sometimes carry coffees that really taste different from what you expect. If they don't have any in stock, then they also carry very good teas.
Coffee is well priced and the baristas are welcoming! Only problem I have with this place is that I wish they were more transparent about themselves. If you’re a 1 hour coffee shop just say that and make that known. I went to this coffee shop for about 3-4days. First day I got a day pass for the workspace which is $29/day. But you don’t need a day pass to access the WiFi. 2nd day I worked all day no problems . 3 rd day I worked, and was pressured to buy coffee..no big deal, coffees not too expensive. 4th day I was told they have a one hour limit even tho there were plenty of tables open. I typically get there around 6:30am so can’t imagine it’ll be packed until 9am. Around 7:45 I was getting pressured to leave. Okay fair enough. Except that I had a meeting at 8am that I needed wifi for and would leave after that. Mid meeting I’m approached by staff and they begin talking to me while I have headphones on and I’m in a meeting. I kindly tell her that I’m in a meeting and she continues to speak to me. Personally, I think this is rude. If someone is in a meeting for their job, I think reminding someone about the 1 hour limit is less of a priority. So going forward please do not to talk to people while they are mid meeting. You never know how important or urgent the meeting is. I will not be coming back due to this exchange but wanted to be transparent about my experience.
Worth trying. The coffee is very good. They take what they do seriously, and service was good. The place is upstairs at the end of the building, which makes it hard to find but also gives you some privacy. It's a fascinating space, with a lanai, unique tables inside, and bookshelves with fascinating books on them. Very idiosyncratic place and well worth checking out!
I went in Try My coffee Bistro not knowing anything about different kinds of coffee and different qualities how coffee was made I spoke with Ariel She was very knowledgeable and she informed me about the different kinds of coffee and gave me a demonstration on how different coffees are brewed and the flavors of the coffee's it was a excellent experience If you want to know about the details about coffee stop by try coffee bistro. I will diffinely come back and bring some friends Carty

Meticulously prepared cortado with a great bean as well. My favorite part of this coffee place is the chilled vibe and the views. Highly recommended

Solid cold brew. Outdoor seating only for non-co-working guests. Lovely and mostly quiet.
