Cafe at The Lobby

We went for our anniversary and it was amazing. I am so glad that there is a fine dining experience in Winder. I had the linguini with clams and my husband had the 8oz filet. Both were done to perfection and our appetizer of octopus was phenomenal. Trust me, if you do octopus well, you know what you're doing. The decor and building are beautiful and the staff was awesome. Thanks Lobby at the Maddox for making our anniversary meal such an enjoyable experience.

Terrible meal tonight and inexperienced waiter. I have been to the Lobby 3 times before and had a great experience each time. Tonight was quite different and I don’t intend to return. The baked oyster appetizer was heavily influenced by a strong cheese on top. The potato side dish I ordered to go with my $45 steak was not cooked. The steak was just ok but only about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Two members of my party ordered gnocchi, which was unlike any gnocchi I have ever seen. They looked like large, brown tater tots with parsley on top and no sauce. They were very dry so only two or three were consumed. The almond gelato dessert was good but the pistachio gelato had a powder type consistency to the palette. The cannoli looked great but the filling was not a sweet filling so not a dessert.

Took my wife here for her birthday yesterday, we did the Private Vault Dining Experience, and it was beyond my expectation. (Gentlemen, if you want to impress your better half, do yourself a favor and go for the Private Vault Experience) Very Elegant, Romantic, Relaxing and Private. Everything about this establishment is Top Notch… Food, Drinks, Service, Staff, Ambient … Everything was well thought out. We will definitely be coming back, it sure does beat having to drive to ATL and deal with traffic, for an establish as such.

I wish I could leave 6 stars!! The Lobby is a beautiful spot with amazing food and drink options. The ribeye with their special butter selections, the risotto, and the lemon crop martini are incredible! Definitely recommend coming here the first chance you get.

We enjoyed this place. The food was very good and the chef even came to our table to prepare a dish in front of us. However we feel that the owners have misjudged their market and location. The atmosphere and prices are that of a restaurant from buckhead or midtown.

Highly recommend! Started with prosciutto appetizer and steak tartare. The flavors and ingredients were quality! We passed on the steaks for the handmade pasta. It brought me back to the homemade pastas I had in Italy. Do not miss out on the gnocchi! Finished with espresso, cannoli, and a panna cotta to die for! Such a gem in little Winder.

Beautiful space with kind people and wonderful food! Stands up to any restaurant in Atlanta.
As a GF’er, knowing that I can eat quality risotto here is one of life’s sweet gifts. And don’t even get me started on the truffle butter on the ribeye...

We love this spot- amazing food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. It is one of our favorite restaurants- after busy weeks, it is so nice to enjoy a meal in a slower paced, relaxing environment where you can truly enjoy a delicious meal!
