Unfortunately, the Lobby was extremely disappointing. The prices were high and the food was mediocre -at best. Servers were friendly; however service was slow. We arrived at 7:45 and it took about a hour to get our entrees. They assumed. 20% tip on a party of 6, which was generous for the service and food provided. My ribeye was undercooked and had to be returned to the kitchen. For a 200.00 meal, for 2 people, I expected so much more. Positives- great atmosphere, great cocktails, and close to home.

Stopped for a bite at the bar. Very friendly staff, upscale historic setting. Simple, easy to follow ingredients in wonderful display. Started with a simple 3 olive gin martini. I had a vegetarian special, titled an Italian phrase that I will not attempt to misspell. Delicious, every bite. Ended meal with Italian cookies and pistachio Gelato, made fresh next door. Lovely setting, food, service, and at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Would recommend to a friend

Small, quaint, excellent place to have dinner. Music in the background makes for a great atmosphere, where a conversation can be held. The servers are knowledgeable and very helpful making the guests feel at home.
The food is excellent. We were a few people at the table and everyone was satisfied.
The experience was not cheap, this is a white damask tablecloth place, but it was definitely worth it.
Will go back, again.

It’s not often that you find a place with the charm that Lobby at The Maddox has. The building this beautiful restaurant is nestled in is over 100 years old & has been remastered remarkably. This restaurant is not pretending to be something that it is not. It is not trying to be pretentious or showy in anyway. The wine selection is modest and honest, they do not try to sell you on something because of the price. However, they would rather pair something that works with your meal, even knowing they have much more expensive options on the list. The steaks, being dry aged or wet aged, along with the pastas, have been cooked perfectly by masters in the kitchen and the sides have been prepared wonderfully. The food is as organic and locally sourced as you can find. The service staff & management are kind and they truly care to make sure you have a wonderful time. They are not looking for your money, they just care that you have a great time not feeling rushed to leave. If you want not only a beautiful meal but prepared & served by great people, look not further than Lobby at The Maddox. As Chef Tom Colicchio said, “People come to a restaurant for the food, but will always return for the experience.”

I visited this establishment for the first time today and the food was good but the only complaint I have is that when packaging to go orders please line the container beforehand!

I don’t know who left the 2 star reviews, but they must have had too many awesome cocktails and not been aware of what they were doing!
My wife and I love this place. The food is better than anywhere I’ve been in Atlanta. The food (the ribeye is amazing), the people (Brooke, Eric, Alex, Alexa, Moises, and everyone else), the drinks (the paper plane and lemon cello ‘tini. Just order 2 of each. Trust me.). Our favorite spot.

We have wonderful service every time , and don’t mind the half hour drive at all.
so glad we don’t have to drive to Atlanta for the quality of food here. They have an amazing bar and wine menu too. Excellent service , and quality. So glad to have another great restaurant in winder(next to bistro)!!

Literally the best restaurant in Georgia. NYC restaurants have nothing on this place. Every dish starting with the free bread to the appetizers then entrees ending with dessert and coffee are the work of a fantastic chef. The service was excellent and believe this could be the first Michelin star restaurant in Winder. Just simply amazing!

I have been excited to try this new place out. I really enjoy the sister restaurant. Unfortunately, I am disappointed in my experience. The night I was there I absolutely had great service. The food was good, but not great. And for the prices, I need it to be great. The ambiance was just OK. The owners were having a party at the table right inside the entry way and were a little on the rude side to others in the restaurant. For higher priced steaks, there are other places I would choose locally, I doubt I would return here.

Amazing!!! Where do I start from. The steak was perfectly cooked. All the food that came out of the kitchen was to die for. All the credit to the kitchen staff. They showed out tonight. Bartender Eric was very polite and one of the best mixologist . And to top it off the desserts provides you with a taste that you won’t ever forget. Thank you for a great night! 🍑#queen B
