If you’re looking for a great place to eat with amazing staff this is the place. I’m not a local anymore but my aunt is, her name is Katrina. She’s an extremely kind person that will make you feel welcomed and joke around with you. I don’t know what days she’s off but I know she works most of the week days. I go there all the time to help out and I know everyone that works there, and I can tell you that their all very friendly.
Next time you go you should ask for Katrina as you’re waitress. 😁

A very good place to get brunch when you are out around town.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Cafe Frederica, and everyone was very friendly, however I ordered the smoked salmon and it made me very sick. The salmon looked under cooked to me, but I’m no expert so I trusted it. About an hour after I ate the smoked salmon I got very sick, and I had to puke on the side of the highway.

I would go back but I will never order the smoked salmon again.

Okay, so 3 stars not because of the food. The crab eggs benedict was delicious. The bacon was perfectly crispy. However, 90% of the staff was not following COVID precautions. Masks below the nose if at all. Cooks cooking without mask covering their mouth and nose, no gloves. Tables were very close to each other. Even the restaurant goers were not even wearing masks. The food was good, just disappointed in the non-attempt at social distancing and COVID precautions.

Mark Packard opened this restaurant 30 years ago and like a fine wine it's getting better with age... Best breakfast and brunch on the island...In the winter they have oyster stew made to order!!
* Wonderful * A St Simons Island classic and the world's best cinnamon rolls -

Although we had to wait (party of six) everyone cleaned their plates. Didn't matter what was ordered, the place didn't disappoint. Busy Saturday, would go with party of four or less as this is a smaller place but worth the wait. We would come back. It is as good as any of the village restaurants but tucked away from main road.

Cute little cafe half way between the pier village and Fort Frederica. We biked to the fort and back to the cafe just before closing. The fruit cup and a large cup of tea was just perfect. (But they also have a great breakfast and lunch menu if you're hungry.)😃

The food is good BUT..........once we recieved our check and was about to pay rhe misses noticed an EXTRA CHARHE on the bill. They automatically add a 1% charge; a "donation" to the SSI Land trust. To add insult to injury, the additional FEE is added pre-tax, so you are also paying tax on the money that they attempt to dwindle from you. If you want donations, ask for them. Put a jar on the counter. Add a spot on the bill where patrons can add one. But just "slipping it on the bill" and hoping your guests don't notice is poor business. This sheisty practice is keeping me feom returning to an otherwise good restaurant

We found this Cafe by accident several years ago during a retreat on St. Simons. We've eaten breafast and lunch now on several occasions and have always found the food better than average to excellent. We like it enough to travel 60 mi to dine there. Great folks and service.

Food was very good. There is a train that circles the ceiling and the service was wonderful. Has great a/c and sat very quickly. They are only open until 2pm but they do serve breakfast the whole time they are open.
