Update 2023: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Decided to give this place another try and the food is still disappointing, for me. The BBQ tofu rap didn't taste anything like barbecue but the spicy sauce kind of overpowered everything. It's also more like a snack then a meal, small portion. I am going to change my rating to 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars though because they usually do have very good bakery items and friendly service.

Their sloppy joes used to be my favorite... I'm glad they finally started accepting cards but the last couple times I've been here the food (BBQ tacos and a wrap) was disappointing. 😕

Cheap! Wish the yogurt had fresh instead of frozen fruit. Omelet was basic. But great spot, nice place.

Went to the Sentient Bean this past Monday, July 25 about 4:45 and I was having a meeting there with some clients and according to the Google at the time it said that they were open till seven I see now that it’s been changed but I also found that when I got my coffee and they said we were closing now there were about 28 people in there enjoying their coffee and conversation when one of their employees came out and announced we are closed and everybody has to leave and it was just very not appropriate.I was very upset because I couldn’t have my meeting there and I had seven people coming and I had to make other arrangements and sit in the park when we all wanted to be at the Sentient been having our coffees and the meeting. None of my clients could order a coffee either.
I’ve also looked on other platforms such as their Facebook page and the same hours from 7 AM to 7 PM so they need to update their other platforms and put ours on the door would really help. I’m hoping to try it again but I was very disappointed.

My wife and I spent a week in Savannah and we were lucky to come across this great cafe on Day 1. Located right by Forsyth Park, we walked over every day to pick up our coffee and morning snack, then strolled through the park. It was a great way to start the day!
The coffee was excellent. We tried the Americano, Cafe Mocha and Cafe Lemonade (exact name not sure), as well grabbed different baked goods each day. The thumbprint blueberry danish was delicious.
The atmosphere is great. Lots of staff working and service moved along quickly. Free Wifi proved to be useful. The outdoor patio on the back was quaint and had a cool lemon tree.
Between cost, atmosphere and quality - this place was a hit for all three! Highly recommend.

Great food and coffee! A perfect stop for breakfast as you are walking around Forsyth park! I got the Beanie's Choice and my husband got the breakfast burrito. Both of us really liked them!

Great coffee! We really enjoyed the iced and hot coffees. Staff recognized us on our second visit and thanked us for coming back. Didn’t give 5 stars because we didn’t really enjoy our food (yogurt, oatmeal, banana bread) but based on other reviews, sounds like I should have gotten the burrito. This coffee shop was busy both days we visited around 10am. Consider grabbing a coffee and then taking a stroll through the park across the street.

Everything you want in a coffee shop. The prices are more than fair, the yogurt bowl in particular is great value, friendly staff and great community vibes. If you want to write some emails on a laptop there's a space but also a gorgeous courtyard outback.
From metal concerts on Friday nights to a regularly updated community bulletin board, you get the sense that the people running the place truly care for their community.
It's an excellent coffee shop and it's that simple.

Been going here for years, you could say I'm a beanie baby :p. Appreciate the shows and open mics that still go on here. More shows!!

The staff was friendly and helpful, the coffee acceptable, banana nut bread was not worth eating.

Had lunch at this spot. Service was painfully slow and the portions were very very small with just enough flavor to remind you that you're eating food. Lastly, the vibe doesn't scream "Super Clean!" The coffee is probably better than the food options.
