Tried this place for first time. The Crab soup alone was enough to recommend the restaurant to everyone I know. Superb flavor, and I am a born and raised coastal girl who knows what crab should taste like. Had loaded nachos for appetizer and loaded ourselves up on those. I chose the cowboy hamburger with the fried green tomato inside, though wasn't too sure about that, but the combination of flavors presented with that really made me love it. Will come back for more, for sure. My son, also, was very pleased with his selections and we can't wait to come back again. Have talked about it to our friends and relatives. The waitress, C.J. was first rate. Very attentive and on spot when our dishes were ready. Very pleased altogether! Might come back this weekend for the Beef Brisket sandwich on Kelli's menu.

Omgosh this has got to be the best restaurant in Liberty County! The food exceeds expectations, the staff Aaaaaamazing, great location! You get a great amount of food for the price! Must build your own burger! Thank you Melody’s Coastal Cafe for the great experience!!!

This place is great, good food, good people and they serve beer with a robot delivering it to your table.

We were driving up 95 North bound and we like to find the best mom n pop restaurants. We have banned the chain restaurants and interstate fast food from our agenda's. It did have a highway sign on the interstate for food this exit. So we decided to give it a try. It's about 2-3 miles off the exit. We were not disappointed! We had the blue crab soup which was absolutely delicious and we had the gyro lamb and beef. It was perfectly done ✅. Not to mention you can't visit the south without having fresh steeped sweet tea! Perfectly done. Side salad was a real salad, not 1 leaf lettuce and 1 tomato like most restaurants. It had lettuce, tomato, red onions and cucumbers. The staff was amazing and very friendly! Not to mention they have a full bar... To try out when your not on a long drive!

Burgers were good. Seafood was not. Too much breading no taste.

First time visiting and was very pleased. Cute coastal theme with art work you can purchase. I ordered the loaded nachos with shrimp. So good! Its a little pricey but ot was worth it!

(Update: moved to further down on RT17 to Midway sometime in the fall of 2019. Haven't been since) Really great southern food and service. Great 🍺 on tap as well. A little pricey, but not too much for what you get. We were surprised to find such a treasure in a hole in the wall place. I guess that's one of the benefits.

Food was decent but if you are wanting a fast lunch do not stop here. They state upfront that they are not a chain and food is prepared when ordered and may take a little longer. I ordered fish tacos and my husband ordered an open face roast beef sandwich. It took about 15 minutes to get seated and the waitress took our order timely then the wait started. It was over an hour at that point before we got our food.
They did treat us to a free beer and glass of wine only after we told them we were leaving if we did not get our food soon.

Food was top notch. Po’boy shrimp sandwich was awesome fresh breaded shrimp and the roll was perfect. The fries were crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. A Chef had to design this menu. The fried cheesecake was unbelievable. I will return.
