New Review lowered to 3⭐.
Like allot of places thing have changed Soup with half a sandwich is up $2 to about ~$10. (With a plinn drink, no desert plan on about $13-15 plus a person).
All food on tray with styrofoam bowls).
Soup and Sandwich is smaller in size than last review. I was amazed at sandwich size and soup proportion my last review that made this a good value. This surprised me since price went up in price from mid pandemic when we had shortages.

The Sandwich was still made well.
I was told my last review, soup was homemade daily. I'm not sure if this is True now.
Both wife and I both noticed soup appeared to be microwaved (it was how with cold spots)??
†† Also, don't know if soup was reason but of us got severe cramps about 40 minutes after eating here? These were bad enough we cut out 46year annerversery day short and went home!!

The inside is redecorated with a bar counter. Best 2 tables are in rear and feel cramp.

I can NOT recommend eating here anymore... UNLESS you are in a mode for a bijou establishment that is a bit overpriced.
Honestly if you are just seeking lunch, you are better off at local dinner for a good soup and sandwich. But I understand some prefer atmosphere while visiting this cute and quaint downtown of Bainbridge.

I can not longer vouch for food quality, sandwiches are not as large (though tasted ok), not sure if souple is still fresh homemade or reheated from weekly batch. Business is still Family owned and very friendly. I myself am Sad that a 'Christian BUSINESS' attitude is now more Starbucks Style than Family Style but understand this is a business decision not a moral one. Family are very friendly.

Excellent Coffee and Sandwich Shop. Serves Breakfast in AM and Soup and Sandwiches till 5pm.
Prices are moderate with best value with ½sandwich and soup. Sandwiches are large and handmade, all soups are homemade, family recipe and delicious. Good variety of coffee and flavors . All coffees are ground and brewed on order.
THIS IS A LOCALLY OWNED, CHRISTIAN ESTABLISHMENT.

You can't help but walk into this establishment and feel comfortable and at home. Everything I have ordered from here has been delicious. My favorite is the hot vanilla latte. The owner and her children are very professional and welcoming. If you want a coffee and a snack, have a meeting, or hang out with friends in a very calm and serene environment, this is the place. I have grabbed coffee with friends many times here. Highly recommended!

Stopped by Bainbridge to get breakfast. Really wish we ended up somewhere else. The place was empty and the omelette took significantly long to make. This is probably due to the fact that the establishment is ran by actual kids. The cashier must have been around 12-14. The food runner was 10 or under and the ones cooking were around the same. The omelette was below sub par. The ham was cold for both mine and my other guest. It wasn’t really an omelette, it was more of a an egg sandwich with no bread. All items were just stacked on each other.

The coffee was lukewarm and very watered down.

The parents were talking to guests while the kids ran the show.

I can appreciate a family owned business but the quality of the items and the execution of the dishes were very poor.

If you were going to employ your children, TRAIN THEM. They are just kids, they have no experience and if they are going to work in hospitality they need to understand the fundamental principles of the service industry.

The Breakfast Sandwich on a croissant has been my all time favorite breakfast sandwich UNTIL I sampled the Avocado Toast sandwich! Avocado, fried egg, bacon (fried to perfection) with jalapeno ranch drizzled over it. Per-fect-tion!

If you want coffee and I mean real coffee this is the place to be, the environment is so welcoming and cozy and is the perfect place to relax have some coffee and a snack or even a complete meal. I recommended the bainbridge, by far the best sandwich I’ve tried, and don’t even get me started with how capable and responsible the workers are, they always are so profesional and know exactly what they are doing and are intentional with the customers they interact with, well all I have to say is, The Bean is the place to be!

Food is great but it just takes forever to get your food. Considering I only got a sandwich and it wasn't busy.

We LOVE The Bean! All of the kids & Tiffany are so welcoming & take care of us weekly. So glad to have them in our downtown ❤️

One of my top 5 favorites that I've been to. I have only tried one thing ( the Bainbridge ) which is a turkey bacon provolone lettuce tomato with ranch dressing on Italian bread pressed with a side of potato salad. Service was great nice atmosphere food was fresh I cant wait to try more of the menu. Your missing out if you haven't been.

This is such an endearing way to enjoy coffee. Yes, there are children running the operation here, but I really enjoyed seeing them all work together as a family business. The mom was there, making sure things were running smoothly and quite honestly they all did a wonderful job. The coffee was delicious! When we went to the back to use the bathroom, we noticed a huge coffee bean roaster so I'm assuming that's why the coffee was so delicious. The children were all knowledgeable about the town and the local artists. They also were a pleasure to chat with about travel and music. We would highly suggest visiting this coffee shop if/when you're in Bainbridge.
