Banjo Coffee

They serve a good variety of drinks and snacks: cold brew, king of pops ice cream, sodas, homemade and gluten-free muffins and other pastry items. They also serve food that's somewhere in between an average coffee shop offering and an actual brunch place. It's a good middle ground for sure and the ingredients and taste are always above average. The patio is also quite spacious and dog-friendly. It's a popular spot so parking spaces fill up most days, many people end up walking or biking instead. Alternatively, you can park for free in the large Avondale estates public parking lot that's just across from the USPS building. It's a short 2min walk to Banjo from there.

Quite possibly the best coffee I've ever had. Bourbon vanilla latte is out of this galaxy good. It was even the perfect drinking temperature. Can't believe I lived here for 5 years and never stopped in until my recent visit back.

Decent coffee not great food. Way overpriced and limited sugar free options.

The people here are nice and the coffee was good. I don't recommend going here when it's cold outside, because they have very few indoor seating options so you aren't likely to be able to sit down. Seats are always all taken when I've been there. Lots of outdoor seating options.

Their espresso drinks are wonderful. My go-tos are the lavender honey and bourbon vanilla.

Good stuff! Well-extracted, locally roasted espresso. Vegetarian (possibly vegan) breakfast options, too. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, with a nice loyalty card program. Will definitely return!

(Would be awesome if they had vegan pastries; southern sweets bakery around the corner makes some nice stuff and does B2B wholesale.)

So awesome! Drink was recommended by barista. It was exactly what I wanted. The service was quick and friendly.

It is fantastic to have an independent coffee shop in the heart of AE. Banjo’s coffees and foods are always top shelf—as are the pastries thanks to their partnership with Flour + Time. While there can be a wait on the weekend morning rushes, customers seem to understand that this isn’t a Starbucks and any wait is worth the time to have a crafted coffee or fresh breakfast option. My only suggestion for Banjo would be to have a few more liquid sweetener options on the floor for customers to accompany the oat milk and half-and-half.

Yep, very chill place, great cold brew coffee. Did not get food this trip but lots of folks were eating and enjoying the offering. It's a small menu. Also a good place to grab a coffee and work or browse the news/your Twitter feed, etc.

Great menu options, coffee is great and they even have a fridge full of great options!
