They tried it. This is "concept" BBQ, with unnecessary frills like "braised kale" in "smoked sweet potato". Geesh! The baked beans were not tender and too sweet and peppery, and the macaroni and cheese was unremarkable. I appreciate the simplicity of the flavor of the meat, which was well seasoned. However, the ribs and bone-in dark meat were dry. I absolutely do not recommend the vinegar sauce in the yellow bottle. I was born and raised in Memphis so I know a good dry rub and vinegar-based sauce - this ain't it. Grand total of my meal was $35.36, after tip and I'm deeply disappointed.
P.S.
The sweet tea didn't even give!

If I could give this place zero stars I definitely would. Extremely disgusting. Let’s start with the macaroni and cheese, it was SOAKED in butter. (See pic) Blueberry “bread pudding “ looked like they just served something from a few days ago that they unwrapped from a package. Hard exterior and cold on the inside. The potato salad was SUPER BLAND needed Salt and pepper packs and it was still GROSS!!! The banana pudding is so evident that it was made with a box jello pudding mix it’s disgusting to think they are charging $4.25 for a tiny cup from a BOX pudding!!! The brisket sandwich was filled with dry brisket even after asking for moist fatty pieces of brisket. Sweet tea is a disgrace to southern sweet tea culture. The ribs were ok but that’s putting it nicely. I ate here after a long morning appointment at the local VA hospital so I was super hungry but I made a HUGE mistake by eating here. Everyone who is saying these items are good are truly messed up. It is enabling this restaurant to continue to serve HORRIBLE food and thinking their product is good. (Which I am sure they know this and just don’t care) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE avoid this place! I am from Texas so I know real BBQ and this is ABSOLUTELY NOT REAL BBQ!

Everything tasted good. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich. I originally came for half bird but they were sold out of that menu item

Been coming here for almost 6 years, mac and cheese is a top item. Has a great white cheese sauce and addicting taste. Value is great. Stop in if you are in the area.

This place has THE worst customer service. My experience here started off bad from the moment I called to place the order. The man on the phone had a complete attitude and talked to me in a very condescending tone. Also, FYI you place a to-go order but they won’t make it til you get there… then what is the point of placing a to-go?! I stated I was waiting on a to-go and the rude black guy who I then realized took my order SHOUTED “how are we supposed to know when to make your food!?!?!?”. I was so confused with this place. The food is flavorless. The mac n cheese is just butter covered noodles (see pic). The sloppy joe is not what you would expect for sloppy joe (see pic). I’m not even sure what meat is in this. The pulled chicken is SO dry. The sweet potato with kale was disgusting. Such a waste of money. I am so confused on how they have such high reviews.. I would never return or recommend this place!

Excellent brisket, not too fatty, just enough. Collard greens and black eyed peas were fantastic. Two toasted slices of bread on the side was a nice bonus and for the prices going up at all the restaurants these days, it was quite an appropriately priced meal in my opinion. Also, the customer service was great, food came out quickly with a smile and they were by to clean up the table promptly after.

I love Community BBQ's pulled chicken! It has a nice smoked flavor & they give you a choice on the kind of sauce you'd like to pour on it--vinegar or sweet! And, though I've never eaten inside, my pick-up experience has ALWAYS been excellent! I encountered this restaurant during the 2020 pandemic & have been a satisfied customer ever since! Go ahead, give them a try!

Tasty Q!
This place hits every time. On my last visit I chose the pulled pork and sliced brisket, and had Mac & Cheese and Black-eyed Peas on the side. Writing this makes me want to return much sooner than later. As long as they keep cranking out good Q, and don’t fall into the trap of short cutting that some other places find themselves caught by, Community Q should be around for a long time.

Been coming here for years! This isn't a "concept". The bbq is straightforward and good. Really like the ribs here. The smoked sweet potatoes are excellent and the macaroni and cheese is great. Even the kitchen sink salad is super solid.

This food was soooo yummy! I've been searching for brisket and Brunswick stew. The brisket was A1, St Louis Ribs very tender and delicious, Mac and cheese made with real butter lack salt and pepper but I get it trying to cater to everyone, greens were decent I would get them again. Smoke chicken, pulled chicken and fries. Lordt, I want some more while writing this, lol! The Brunswick stew is a no for me. It wasn't the best, worst, or will do, just not like Brunswick stew I'm used to. I definitely recommend it, and we will go back. Oh, bbq sauce finger licking good! I don't think I've ever given a 5 star, but today is the day!
