Bula Kava Bar & Coffee House

I had to change my review sadly from Five stars to a measly 2 stars. When I first came here my experience was great the service was fast and people were nice. But I was with my cousin who knows the people here So I guess that’s why we got decent service. Everytime since that I’ve been back on my own or with friends I’ve been completely ignored. Even on slow days the workers just ignore you and serve people who got there well after you. It made me feel like they were doing it on purpose to mess with me or something. And on top of that it’s soooooo expensive! I’ve never been to a Kratom and Kava bar so pricey. It’s $16 for one drink!

I love Bula! 😍 The Kavatenders are all amazing, the product is the best in town (There are a lot of Kava businesses in Saint Petersburg), the owner is a caring, compassionate, cool guy, and on top of all Bula is a COMMUNITY that supports each other and is a positive escape as opposed to escaping through addictions or fakeness. I stand behind my 5-star rating and I would recommend Bula to anyone that is looking for a cool place to hang out, talk, or relax peacefully ☮️

Great kava bar experience! They provide good authentic kava with extraordinary service. The coffee is locally roasted and they also have a great selection of Kambucha and tea. Nice place to sit, relax and either converse or get some work done.

I've been coming here for almost 5 years, super chill and relaxed environment. A real friendly staff, and even more friendly patrons. You'll definitely leave with a few new friends. There is no such thing as strangers here, just friends you haven't met yet. You get the bar style environment without the alcohol and the loud obnoxious drunks that want to start fights for no reason. They serve Coffee, Kombucha, Soda, Yerbamate, and have Kava and Kratom. Definitely check it out.

Great atmosphere. They have music playing for all types and everyone is very accepting and laid back. I got kratom from here and that was also great. The staff was fantastic will definitely go back.

Very cool experience! Dude with the beard was so welcoming and knowledgeable of all the tonics and teas there. I felt like I was back in Colorado for a bit. No judgement, pure beingness.. Nice people, dope music, great vibes. Made me feel like I was home! Thanks Bula♡

We went here during the night market on Saturday. Even though it was raining it was still an enjoyable experience, but there wasn't enough room under a roof for us to stay dry. The comedian was pretty funny. I kind of wish they didn't have music coming from the bar area while the band was playing, it was a bit annoying. The everyday kava was surprisingly strong. I really wanted to try the food truck but couldn't because they serve scallops (just a warning for others with shellfish allergies). Overall we will definitely go here again... hopefully when it's not raining next time.

There's always been a great atmosphere and excellent product... I've tried everything from the kava, kratom, to coffee and tea, and have never been disappointed there. In the past, some of the stuff members have been kind of cold and unfriendly. But every single experience I've had recently has been nothing short of awesome. Highly recommend!

Me & my friends used to come here about 3/4 times a week. I would bring a bunch of our friends, play games, talk & have a great time.
We used to come to all the events. We stopped going for a while but recently we decided to give it another try & the same girl bartender gave us terrible service & was rude even when we were being super nice.. I think her name is Val. Anyways long story short we won’t be coming back to this location agin. P.s all the other staff is AMAZING !

Always consistently strong Kava and Kratom. Some pretty interesting people frequent this location and the service could be better at times. But overall I love this place. Really unique business and offers a lot of good alternatives to the saturated bar/pub scene.
