Bula Kava Bar & Coffee House

1st time here and it's amazing. The only thing I would suggest or have an opinion on is more fans. Love it and social distancing is working well here.

I enjoyed my time here. As an Ethnobotanist and kava researcher and someone who has spent more hours than I care to admit around kava in the Pacific, I find kava bars in the contemporary sense strange.

However, coming here was a great choice! There are two parts to the bar; one side of the bar seemed more relaxed and on the other many people seemed to know each other, which was cool. The kava-tender offered me a first-time cup on the house, which was awesome! I visited here a few years ago and mentioned this, and he was still very cool in offering me kava on the house, which was very humbling. All in all, I'd tone down the noise( music), but the dim-lighting atmosphere is great. I found an event on the wall happening the next day in Tampa right up my alley and was able to attend, which I was delighted with as well. So I recommend Bula kava Bar! I can tell they are invested in the community, which is so important.

Great selection and quality of Kratom and Kava. With a nice relaxing environment and great people to talk & hangout with! They are like a family. Very happy I started coming here! 😁👍

My experience was similar to some of the ones below. I mostly enjoyed it and will go back again. I didn’t find the drink grainy like others did. The atmosphere was nice. The drink was good. However, the service was bad. It’s the same lady that’s mentioned in one of the comments below, the athletic woman with glasses. She’s incredibly rude and only acknowledges certain people. I was waiting to cash out for over five minutes while she chatted, straightened straws, and served various people who clearly didn’t ask for help before I did. It seemed as though one person pointed me out to her, and she still ignored me. I gave her less of a tip than I would have. The staff clearly favors only regulars and hipsters.

I’ll probably go back again. The drink was good and relaxed me, as I have anxiety. It’s mostly a chill atmosphere. I can smoke there, which is a plus. Something should be done about the barista though.

Used to Love this place! Management has changed a couple years ago, but it's still a nice hang out with a newer expanded bar.

Not as chill as I recall, but a great place to relax & meet some new friends in the area.

Mad rude vibes from the owners. They’re just as fake as their kava, it’s watered down

Kava bars are nice to relax, socialize, meet people, have a sense of community, etc

I hope one day you embody what it means to drink kava to create a community and bring people together.

Love this place. The menu is simple and to the point. Coffee is excellent. The barista knows what’s up and made our beverages perfectly. Great foam our latte’s.
The atmosphere is just beautiful. Sit on the porch, surrounded by bamboo and beautiful plants. There is shade, a fountain and the most soothing wind chimes ever made.
Definitely worth the time. Check it out.

As soon as you walk in, you are immediately treated like family. They explain everything there is to know about kava and you get a free 4 Oz bowl of its your 1st time there! Loved the very chill atmosphere. Would Def come back again!
