Found this place when I first moved to Pensacola 7 years ago and have never had a bad experience. I now drive 15 minutes out of the way to see them a shameful amount of times throughout the week. I try to stay away because the cinnamon rolls are too dang good but then I go on a bender and have one nearly every day for a month. The staff is always great and puts up with my lame one liners at the drive thru 😁

Coffee and food is good and averaged priced. But not all the drowsy poets have the same policy. Some have a punch card for a free coffee and others dont. Some offer student discount. Some have lunch items. I go all over Pensacola and pace for work and school. Just wish it was consistent.

I'm all about the small coffee shops in the area. This one has a couple of locations now, but hasn't lost the feel that it's had for years. You'll find a lot of students here from Pensacola Christian College sitting down to work on papers and whatnot. The drinks here are quite good, and they also have a number of very tasty muffins and other desserts. They have two or three drinks on the menu that are tailored for children which I believe are all made with decaffeinated products.

This place had a really nice atmosphere. The self-playing piano was cool! I had a nitro cold brew, and tried some of the little boy blue and the Shakespeare drink. I really liked all of them and so did my friends. I highly recommend this place :)

The warm banana bread and warm toasted bagel with cream cheese tasted good. Mom likes the regular coffee. Tried the Drive thru and got a quick hunger fix while parked and resting across the street.

I love the atmosphere. Literary themes, obviously. A player piano near the corner. And their signature drinks are great. I usually go for a Shakespeare (chocolate hazelnut latte) or Poe (chocolate raspberry latte). But their house coffee is great too. They have salads, sandwiches, and pastries, if you're looking for something to eat. I enjoyed everything I've had here.

Great coffee, service is fast. Never had any issues with my order. I usually make a stop here at least once a week. The employees who work the drive thru are very nice! They also have a coffee club membership with lots of benefits like a free bag of coffee when you sign up and free coffee after a purchase of ten.

I am a coffee fiend so I seek out the best coffees (and teas) in my area. I still try other shops as well when I hear of them but at this point I don't believe i'll ever find the kind of friendliness and food quality as "the poet" has provided me with over these many years. I would say the baked goods and quiches are THE BEST in the area in my opinion and the coffees are also second to none. You just gotta see and taste for yourself!!

Drowsy Poet has been a favorite Go To since they opened. The spacious coffee shop has great coffee and delicious deserts. It is comfortable there and a great place for meeting friends and family. Nice people.

Very good coffee and a nice environment to relax and do work, especially for students after school. The only downside is limited wifi. The workers and service are always exceptional. I like the caramel poetchinos and the brownies.
