Cool people cool atmosphere good drinks (coconut frappe is my fave!) I do my work on my laptop while my son is next door at PCA and I love this spot. I’m looking forward to less AC though… I always feel like a popsicle in there!

Udpate on this location. Pre COVID, I would drive by this place so many times and decided that it would be the place that I took my family and friends when they came to town for future visits. I used to compare it to an old school Starbucks. I LOVED it. The vibe was unique. It was such a chill place w/ great prices and good coffee. HOWEVER, that's all changed. I took my son in for a coffee and sandwich recently and for the both of us, with a tip, the bill was almost $50 bucks. Excuse me? He had a Milton, I had a Shakespeare, and two ham & cheese croissant sandwiches. That was it. And what they did with the sitting area?? The cozy vibe to sit and have a conversation with someone was GONE. My coffee should have been hot after just being made and it came lukewarm and tasted like hot chocolate. I don't know man. I hate what the lockdown did to the local businesses and now that we're officially in a recession, I'll save my money and forgo this place until they get back to what they once had, if they do that at all. Hello management? Do you see what you've done? Oh and the counter staff was annoyed when I asked how old their salads were. She rudely said a WEEK. Pass.

They're white chocolate latte expresso is so good add a little whipped cream you'll enjoy it!!!😍

Quality locally roasted coffee, friendly staff, and an atmosphere not unlike Cheers for those who come around regularly.

Their signature drinks are great (I prefer the Milton) and their cold brew is nice in the summer months. The owner and baristas know their stuff, so as I learn of new drinks, they can usually prepare them even behind their menu offerings.

I love local businesses and this is one I'm extremely dedicated to supporting. My weekend isn't complete without spending a few hours at the Poet.

Staff is super nice and helpful! The coffee is on point. I had the Milton as a hot latte. Very good flavor with an extra shot of espresso.

My wife and I are from New Orleans and love coming to Pensacola. I was looking for coffee that is local and not Starbucks. Happened upon the Poet via Google and I was not disappointed. Great coffee and great service. The atmosphere is very nice as well. I think we found our new coffee place.

Me and my friend went in here for the first time last week and we both agree the coffee is really good here! Definitely worth a visit. They have cute Shakespeare merchandise also! I will definitely be going back here more often. I'm disappointed I waited so long to go here!

This place should also be called the "Honest Poet". I stupidly left my laptop here and only noticed a day later. The employees here kept it safe and happily handed it over after I showed my driver's license and unlocked the computer. Thank you so much for your kindness and honesty--and the coffee's pretty good too!

Love this place. I've been coming here for years now since about 2010. The staff and owners of Drowsy Poet are so helpful and friendly. They have great coffee and blended drinks, good food, fresh baked items and fresh locally roasted coffee. Has a great variety of seating options from high top tables to comfy chairs and bar seating. Store library has many books if you're a coffeeshop reader. Posituve experiences and good memories. Definitely recommend.
