Good potential but I wasn't particularly impressed.
2 people, Ordered the bread appetizer, burger, and fried fresh fish; sides fries and rice pilaf
Fish and burger were acceptable but unremarkable, about what id expect from a decent fish and chips takeout. Same with the pilaf, made correctly but not remarkable. The beer bread appetizer was rather spongy and tasted like banana-less banana bread.
The fries were good but I had to have them remade as they first came out soggy and a bit too brown. If this quality control oversight was caught and corrected before the table I'd likely rate 4 stars.
Otherwise:
Service was as you expect from any sit down, courteous and attentive. prices were certainly fair. Menu design is oddly hard to read. Environment was more inviting than other places in monticello.
If they refined their recipes and QC this place would be a keeper.

Stopped in Monticello for a quick lunch and Rev was a cute little spot. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. We enjoyed the shrimp & grits, and barbecue wings. I would recommend Rev.

Super yummy southern comfort food! Shrimp & grits and the shepherds pie were awesome. Service was fast and very friendly. Oh and wine Wednesday is fabulous:) Highly recommend!

I ordered two burgers, two kid chicken tender and a side of rice pilaf. After 45 minutes of waiting I told the waitress we were going to just eat it there. I asked for a drink menu twice and after 15 more minutes I decided I was done. I asked for a refund and the manger said well your food is sitting on the shelf. I advised her of my entire experience today and she told me that if it happened again to let her know and she would deal with it. I told her there probably will not be another time and I had just explained to her what happened and she should deal with it this time. She didn't want to give me a refund so I took our food. After leaving I realized that we didn't get our rice pilaf so I had to go back for that. The burgers were ok, they were ordered medium and medium well. Both were cooked well done. We ordered at 1:50 on a Saturday afternoon and they were busy but not slammed by any means. Not a good experience and terrible service.

First off overpriced. Rude staff. Very unprofessional and pathetic excuse responses from the "owner" in the reviews I see. I ordered shrimp and grits to go they literally stuck the hot grits in a styrofoam container to burn through wonderful I'd love some chemicals with my already pathetic looking grits barely any shrimps or arugula almost no seasonings I paid almost 20 just for that bs. Plus ordered chicken tenders for my son. Yeah I'll never go here again until the "owner" can learn to be professional and hire proper staff and definitely needs a better chef. Save your hard earned money and skip this rude overpriced place.

Shrimp and grits were so good and portion was huge! My husband's chopped steak sandwich was really good too. Cute little place and friendly service.

Terrible service. Worst place to get a margherita in Monticello ordered frozen margherita. What I received instead of a slushy yummy drink was a glass filled to the top with shaved ice and pretty much nothing else! Ordered 2 simple dishes with fish and seafood and waited over 45 minutes before walking out never receiving the food. Do yourself a favor and skip over this place. Totally not worth it, as they don't value their customers. I think the owner and staff need training in hospitality and overall customer satisfaction. Shame on you REV Cafe!

Loved the selection of burgers (pretty much any burger you can get Buffalo, venison, pork or beef) and food was delicious. The shoestring french fries were what Steak and Shake wished theirs could be. Also when we asked what peach flavored drinks they had, she listed them all including a peach margarita, and when we decided on that found out they were BOGO which was a nice surprise. :)
