Historically my wife and I have LOVED this coffee house. We come here a couple times a month. Today was a disappointment though. The chai latte just tasted like a glass of hot milk with very, very subtle chai flavor. The americano seemed weak. We order these same drinks almost every time because we haven’t found better ones in Jax. Maybe there has been a change in staffing/ingredient sourcing since before the pandemic.

The staff is super friendly!! They explained the whole concept of their business and how all of the products are made, really helpful and interesting! Plus the coffee was so tasty, better than starbucks, and the cost was reasonable. I 100% recommend and we will go back soon!

Beautiful spot for coffee/beer & friendly smiling faces. Definitely recommend

This location doesn't have cold brew coffee (at least not when I went). The Japanese flush had ice coffee was not bad but I like cold brew. Bold bean overall has definitely improved to one of the best shops around

Staff was friendly and it's a clean cute place sadly the coffee was sub par, but it was nice and very popular and busy so I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try again because all the other patrons seemed happy.

A small and modern local coffee shop near the beach with lots of people who live in the neighborhood. During my first visit a few months ago, it was fairly quiet with about half the seats occupied and people were talking or reading a book. During my most recent visit, it was full: mainly one person per table with someone having coffee sitting in front of their computer screen typing away and almost no interaction between patrons; this was a very different atmosphere. The place is clean and modern, coffee is good and made to order, but the cookies / muffins are just "factory cookies" -- nothing fresh or homemade. It seems most people are there for Internet use.

In Bold Bean live a great experience! The smell of good coffee from Kenya, El Salvador, Guatemala and more, the ambience of the place and the excellent service of the baristas make it a special moment. Our favorite place in Jax for a latte. Relaxing locations, delicious baked goods, and amazing Lattes! Beautiful presentation and delicious ;) This is a very attractive coffee shop with parking in front and on the other side of the street. Food tasted good. Latte was smooth and not bitter. A nice place to go.

I recently received a Chemex coffee maker for Christmas and being a coffee noob, have been traveling to different coffee roasters to try and find somewhere to purchase coffee from. Having only Starbucks as a reference point, I was anxious to try lots of different roasts to find something I would like.
I inquired about a sampler pack so I could try a variety of types and see which one I would like best. They advised I needed to pre-pay and they would have it in by Thursday - Friday at the latest. (This was on a Saturday). I also picked up their standard Sweet Spot House blend, and it's delicious. They also said they would call and let me know when it's there. I hadn't heard anything by the following Saturday so I dropped in and thought maybe they had just forgotten to call, or had my number wrong.
The person said they weren't sure why, but for whatever reason - they didn't have it, but they would get it sorted out on Monday and let me know Tuesday or so.
I hadn't heard anything by Thursday and went out of town, but was sure that by the time I returned on Sunday I would be able to pick up a wonderful variety pack filled with all sorts of wondrous aromas and flavors.
I checked the website which lists the locations and noticed that none of them have phone numbers listed. That would have been nice so I could check and see if what I ordered was in stock before making the trip, right? No worries - I'm sure that after just over two weeks they'll have what I ordered. I mean - the turnaround time I was given was 4 days.
As soon as I arrived home from my trip, I dropped my bags off at the door, and quickly drove to Bold Bean before they closed.
Once again they went into the back and came back empty handed.
The baristas and employees are all super friendly, and the coffee that I did purchase is great. But the lack of communication and follow through on orders is disappointing.
If you aren't able to put together a sample pack - don't offer it. If you're going to offer it, and not have it when you say you will - notify the customer and let them know that there's a delay and when it will be ready. I don't fault the friendly folks at this location, and the coffee I did pick up is very tasty. But it's disappointing to say the least.

Bold bean is amazing. Great coffee, atmosphere and people. The staff at bold bean makes it a personal experience. They ask your name when they take your order and make it a point to remember so they can greet you by name when you come back.

Visited a while ago yet never commented on the experience. As with their other locations, the staff and setting are fantastic and the offerings are top notch. Each location has a different vibe and while this one is on the main road, it still has that beach town feel. Modern yet comfy. Great spot.
