Ended up in Gainesville for work. One of the local crew recommended this place but the rest of my team thought Chilis sounded good. Naturally I told them to go have fun without me.

Best decision I’ve made in quite some time. I’m an annoyingly picky eater, particularly when it comes to burgers. This is definitely in my top three of all time. Just wow. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, amazing bacon, delectable bun, it was everything a person could hope for.

The fried pickles were pretty legit as well but, what really elevated them was the horseradish sauce. Amazing.

Best part of the entire experience was the staff. The bartenders are extremely friendly despite there being a line outside to get in and a PACKED restaurant. They still find the time to check in with you and make small talk if you want. I asked for a recommendation between a couple beers and she said “I recommend you try a sample of both and order which one you like”. That is impressive customer service, especially considering how busy they were.

The Top was absolutely the highlight of my trip and I’m going to try find a reason to try get back to Gainesville just so I can try more of the menu.

Such a fun place. They are doing a great job staying as Covid safe as possible. Masks are required. The hostess let's you know the rules before you enter. Keep your mask on when the server is at your table and when moving about the restaurant. You enter in the front and exit out the back. They add an 18% gratuity to your bill (which is completely reasonable). Feel free to add extra for great service. Which we did receive. The atmosphere was great. Cool decor. Great drinks and the food was good. There is a nice big patio outside. While the lights were dim. The place did seem clean. I appreciate that. Give this place a try. Its pretty cool.

Our group had a nook to ourselves, so less hectic than other options. Servers were great. We can recommend the churrasco steak and the paper plane cocktail.

NHL I was skeptical about the place but ai definitely appreciate everything about the vibe. It was winding down a bit when we came. But then the crowd picked up as far as the Lakers game. Then the Karaoke was dope. Probably the best part. Bartenders and deffinitely top notch and would recommend The Top to anyone. Anytime!

All good. Just be ready to wait for your table...(it may take time). On the other side, staff is amazing and will help you to accomodate any needs, including moving our party to another table because the group next to us was annoyingly loud. Thanks to the staff for saving our dinner :)

A Gainesville institution. The menu options are various and most quite good. People seem to really like the corn nuggets, burgers, and sweet potato fries. I usually get their southwestern pasta, but from time to time the noodles are under cooked.

The servers are usually warm and great at their jobs, but the host stand could use an attitude adjustment. They often act like customers are a bother.

Always been a favorite ever since I lived in Gainesville, but despite moving home I still always visit whenever I'm in town. The appetizer with goat cheese is delicious 😋 and the inside has been renovated and looked great. We came on kid's night a magician named Mike really made our night. Our kids loved his tricks!

The Top has been my favorite dinner spot in Gainesville since 2018. You've got a wide range of options and proteins here; vegetarian and vegan-friendly, great music and a righteous vibe.

Great date spot in the heart of downtown, but well-priced enough for anytime dining. Don't take my word for it, just visit 🙂

Food is fine, but definitely not worth the 30 minute wait for a table and then FIFTY minute wait for the food after ordering. Service is incredibly inefficient at this restaurant. Come if you have four hours to spare and don’t have better options.

This probably has some of the most jnteresting burgers I've seen in Gainesville. We made a takeout order and tried their famous corn nuggets, Mastadon burger, and Maradona burger. Meat was cooked perfectly and the buns were large and thick enough that it didn't get too soggy or fall apart. I loved the chimichurri on the Maradona. The corn nuggets weren't particularly impressive and the garlic aioli isn't my fave. They originally accidentally gave our order to someone else but they made our order again with no fuss. I appreciate that kind of professionalism.

Edit: Got their Garlic&Goat and Burning Love as a friend recommended. Both were good but not amazing. I never would have thought to put peanut butter on a burger, but the amount that was slathered on was way too much and I had to scoop a good half of it off. Otherwise, the patty was cooked up perfection. It would be interesting to see if they make a burger patty filled with melted cheese since they like to be creative.
