Love this restaurant. Can't beat food quality and prices. We went for dinner on Saturday night and we liked it so much that we went back Sunday morning for breakfast. My favorite food was el pabellon arepa, is simply delicious, fried yucca is very good as well. For breakfast I ordered stuffed arepa and it was tasty, just like in my country. Service is also good, but if you seat outside sometimes they take longer to serve you.

wasn't a very great first impression on cuban food. i went there coz one of my puerto rican friend once made a flan. it was no way near. it felt like something else. After food feeling was not very good. i had this flat bread with chiken inside.
Coffee was acceptable.
will go one more time for coffee. not for food. might want to try some more cuban food. i feel like there must be more than that.

Are you kidding me? This place is far far from authentic. The food is bland and lacks Latin flavor. The pastelitos are ok but that is it. I should know being Cuban from Miami where real Cuban food can be found on almost every corner. Mi Apa is not authentic Cuban food and caters to those that do not appreciate or are unfamiliar with true Cuban flavor.

Lackluster service possibly stemming from having too many idle employees. Everyone was friendly when talked to though, just seemed unorganized.
I ordered the carne con papas as well as a guava cheese pastry. The sauce for the beef was the highlight and flavorful however the beef was too chunky and tough for me. Potatoes were ok but very oily. Had the plantain and boiled yucca with mojo sauce. Plantains were great but lacked enough of them. Mojo sauce tasted like oil dumped in garlic with some garnish. Liked the yucca texture but trying the mojo sauce ruined my appetite.
I also dislike the amount of plastic and non-resuable items they use but from other reviews they seem to be steering in a better direction with that.

Terrible customer service. Ordered Family Ropa Vieja via Urber Eats and restaurant sent the complete wrong order of Family Arroz con pollo. They said I would have to return the wrong order and pick up the correct order myself which is obsurd! They also suggested that 5 to 6 people can eat from this meal when in all actuality, will only feed 3. Worst latin restaurant I have ever dealt with. Dont recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Great service!! The place was really busy but they made sure to let us know that we’d be seated next. I had the Key West Cuban and it was delicious. Decided to try a Bombon coffee and lord it was tasty. Always come here when I visit Gainesville.

Saturday my family attended a birthday party for a dear friend that turned 86 years young. And her request for the meal was Mi Apa. She wanted their AMAZING cubans and I had to add black beans and yellow rice and of course the plantains. EVERYTHING was perfect! The food was amazing and the BEST part for me was seeing her enjoy her day. Thank you to the staff, who also ROCKED the entire process from ordering to me picking up! Thank you so much!
