Wonderful Cuban food. Being from the west coast, I haven't had Cuban this good in a very long time.
The beans were satisfying. The plantains they way they should be, tender but not mushy, caramelized sweetness. They rice was well cooked. The rope Viejas were tasty, tender and seasoned just right.
I also ordered the flan which I chilled for a few hours and I really liked the texture more. The Carmel syrup was extra gooey and lovely.
Service was quick and friendly. Not a fancy place but I don't care!

What a gem! Ordered the Ybor City Cuban, Elena Ruz, chicken empanadas. I can’t say a bad thing about anyone of these items, they were all delicious. I really can’t say a bad thing about the entire visit. Their service is expedient and friendly. Food comes out quick. You can walk up to the express window, go through the drive through or eat inside/outside. The presentation on paper plates is not ideal but when you taste the food and see the total of the check, you don’t care. Value, value value!

Absolutely Delicious!!! The prices are great and the shredded empanadas were so good!!! The meat was tender in both sandwiches we ordered. Also has cafe con leche and it’s literally was like Heaven! Will definitely be back every time I come to Gainsville!! Waitress was also super friendly.

Delicious authentic Cuban food. The service is quick and the food is delivered hot and fresh. I love that the bread is from La Segunda, a true Cuban bakery in Ybor/Tampa, and supporting the continued success and retention of Cuban traditions and authentic food. The Ybor sandwich is just like what I get there and is so yummy.
The beans and rice are what you expect from a Cuban restaurant which is wonderful.

Bottom line, if you like Cuban food you will love everything on the Mi Apa menu.

Don’t even get me started on the pastries. I grew up on Cuban pastries in Ybor and these bring back those memories. They are fresh with the perfect flaky, crisp outside and soft gooey inside.
And the flan… Oh my!

Just, go visit them if this is your jam. They are awesome. Be warned. They are VERY busy so you may have a little wait. They have patio/sidewalk dining available when the weather is nice enough to enjoy it.

I went there today and ordered the egg plus which is supposed to come with two eggs. I have received this many many times. I did not receive the eggs. Between the phone being cut off, the manager then checking the cameras and as she claimed the eggs were put in. I later checked and found the tiniest smallest egg hidden under the potatoes. I would not be writing this if the manager had given me the gift card without the fuss of reviewing cameras. I took a picture of my meal. I have always loved this place but recently the quality of the workers has really gone downhill. I did receive a 5 dollar gift card but do wish the process had been a bit easier without the interrogation. I included a pic of my meal.

So. Good. Mi apa is a Gainesville must have! Everything on the menu is delicious- from the sweet to the savory. The staff was incredible and the restaurant itself is so clean. We will definently be back!

Service and food are good. It makes 0 sense that they won't sell you just shredded beef. They sell it with the sides not by itself. If they do, they charge the same price as with the sides and same size and amount of meat. Furthermore the little shredded beef container not even
full.

Incredible Authentic Cuban food and the best place in Gainesville to get breakfast when everyplace else has lines out the door!

Even when it’s busy, you can always get a table. 3 ways to order, drive-thru, take out, or table service inside or outside.

Best Cafe con Leche and breakfast is cooked to order.

2 eggs cooked anyway you like with choice of bacon, ham or sausage served with crispy potatoes and fresh toasted Cuban bread. Steak & egg bowl is excellent with palomino steak, your choice of egg, black beans and rice.

Fresh baked empanadas, guava pastries and other Cuban delicacies. Also try one of the fresh fruit smoothies they’re excellent.

Service is good.

This place is super good! Nohely was the best server and really friendly! We got the empanadas, black bean soup, penula, and Cubano. Hubby said it was the best Cuban he’s had! There is a reason this place was packed!

The empanadas are very good 👍🏻 Just the coffee taste weird when I got the Cafe con Leche, not sure if the milk was tasting weird or the coffee, but I know I didn't like it
