Love, love, LOVE this little café-bakery. Perfect neighborhood eatery, right around the corner, easy access, lots of parking. Delightful family-run business, always super-fresh food, ultra clean, and truly delicious. Everything on the menu is A+++, and their custom cakes and pastries are amazing. Gainesville's best businesses are ones like this - homegrown, personalized, and friendly. Try their unique turkey club sometime - yummy!!!

Went there to reward my workers for a job well done. I got there at 4:45 PM. I was willing to buy remaining stuff on a cookie sheet at counter. I did not ask for a deal...I just wanted a price for everything on the sheet. The counter employee asked the boss (/owner? ) in the back area and she rudely stated "add everything and that's the price"! I told the counter person not only will I not buy the tray of items but I'll never be back. I know she (the female in back) does not care; they will survive without my business. The counter person was friendly... the female in back whether it be a boss or the owner was rude.

Their apple-cinnamon roll thing was super good! I tried both of the stuffed cookies as well, also great. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area, and I'm interested in trying more of the menu some time!

Dolce Vita bakery has the most yummy desserts, both individually sized or full cakes and other items. They also offer sandwiches and a place to sit down and eat. I didn't look at the food menu when I was there, but two women ahead of me ordered sandwiches. One of them had eaten sandwiches there before, and said they were really good.

Love EVERYTHING I've tried. The owner is the baker. Pistachio muffin is ohhh sooo delicious! Butter rum muffin is full of flavor. Ordered specifically cake that was excellent! Call ahead to check what's in the case. 🍪🎂🍰🧁🍮

Best bakery and lunch cafe in North Central Florida! Fresh, delicious pastries, hearty sandwiches, crisp salads, tasty soups, gorgeous cakes, and even to-go dinners to heat at home. Rose and Jennifer also made my daughter's wedding cake. Everyone is friendly and helpful. My favorite place to eat in Gainesville!

Great as always. Super pastries,the strawberry Napoleon's what a wonderful tasting item,have gotten them multiple times always top notch. People there have always been friendly and helpful.

I visited France, and obviously I had baguettes and cheeses, but I didn't know what macaroons were, so I never had them. My sister's been making fun of me since 2012 for not ever having tried them. Today, Oct. 19, 2015, I got one of each from Dolce Vita. Raspberry, Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon, and coffee. They were freshly made this morning. I've never had other ones so I don't know how they compare, but they were delicious. Coffee was my favorite.

I went into the bakery just after it opened on a Saturday. The bakery smelled wonderfully delicious! I ordered 2 eclairs and two cronuts. They looked delicious! While the attendant was getting my order I saw a Hungarian specialty and decided to get that for a gift for a friend. I had a few questions along the way and the bakers were helping answer my questions as the attendant who was assisting me with my order stated that she was new to the bakery and was learning too. When I returned home with my order I was missing an eclair. I called the bakery and inquired about the missing eclair as I declined a receipt upon ordering and I was not sure if I had actually paid for the item. They reviewed the order and I had not been charged for the item I was sharing the baked goods with several people so I headed back to the bakery for the eclair. I was met at the door by the new attendant with a boxed eclair at no charge. Thank you Dolce Vita!

Her baked goods are really, really good, but I have never experienced such rudeness and hostility from a restaurant/business owner in my life.
Sad, as I have been a customer there for years, and have recommended this place to others.
Will drive across town to Tioga for kinder, respectful customer service from now on. I'm sorry that I didn't entirely believe a friend, who had a similar experience with this owner a couple of years ago. I owe her an apology for thinking she might have exaggerated her experience. I can totally see it now!
