Hands down the best place in Gainesville! Their cronuts are unbelievable ( I highly recommend requesting them to fill it with the pastry cream), they only have them on Saturday and they usually sell out fast. They also make amazing cakes! I ordered a napoleon cake for a graduation and it was the best cake I've ever had.

The food is good, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. When I asked the lady behind the counter to repeat herself she rolled her eyes as she repeated the description of cookies, checked me out and said have a good day without offering me a receipt and was gone before I could ask for one. Be a little friendlier. It yields better reviews.

This is my favorite place in town!
The BEST croissants! Unbelievable cookies (don’t miss out on the rugalach!! Trust me) The macaroons are heaven.
Everything is super delicious including the amazing sandwiches, the mouthwatering lunch/dinner pastas and soups and the assortment of salads.
And I didn’t even talked about the fabulous cakes.
Life is definitely sweeter with this place, La Dolce Vita indeed!!

This place is a great decision. They have amazing pastries and even a selection of well thought out delicious sandwiches. They have an immaculately clean restaurant and very friendly personal service. My family drives across town just to eat here and our biggest complaint is that WE don't live close enough to go more often. Which is probably a good thing because they have these little bites of heaven called Cronuts. A cross between a croissant and a don't. I could a bagillion and consequently die happy. Happy feasting.

I am very disappointed with this bakery shop. I walked in today with my legally blind son and his seeing eye dog only to be informed that his service dog was not allowed in. We informed the owner that it was illegal to disallow service animals in any establishment but he was adamant that we remove the dog from his premises, along with being extremely unfriendly. We have reported this to the appropriate authorities and hope that something can be done so others with disabilities and service animals will not be discriminated against in the future. This incident was totally unacceptable and illegal!

A very "hole in the wall" type place. Food was good and it had a very homey feel. Small, but really nice.

Went today for fist time. Was waiting for my daughter who was taking a test. I parked to wait. Looked to my right and saw the bakery sign. Figured I would give a look inside to see what is being offered. Immediately saw the cronuts and got two with a Latte. Was quite happy with both. I also purchased their homemade eggplant rolitini. Looking forward to the eggplant later today.
By the was quite impressed with how clean the bakery was and the friendliness of the two women who were working behind the counter. Will be going back for sure

The customer service here is horrific and the head lady in charge (maybe owner) the day we stopped in had to rate in the top five nastiest attitudes we've ever encountered at any food/beverage,/bakery customer driven business/establishment.
This was a simple little issue she blew way up when simpler heads would have prevailed.
We aren't from Gainesville but we drove up to this bakery from Dunnellon because we had heard from friends just how great tasting the Lobster Tail Pasteries are.
On the way we stopped at the Cheesesteak Factory for a quick weekend brunch and as we were paying our bill and leaving we called the bakery to check to see if they had the Lobster Tails and if so could they hold them for us.
The lady that answered the telephone was extremely pleasant and informed me yes they did have the Lobster Tails and yes she would hold them for me and only asked for my name. She did not ask for a credit card number to hold the items for me which to my wife and I felt comfortable with but would have given her.
The trouble started when we arrived and met wife the afore mentioned person with the terrible attitude.
She yelled at us because we hadn't given a credit card number (which no one had asked us for) then she took off into the back office yelling at another female employee with a whole lobby full of customers waiting.
The abused employee came out to finish the transaction and she was extremely polite.
When we got back to Dunnellon and shared the Lobster Tails with our neighbors we all agreed they were fantastic tasting. To bad we aren't sure if we will ever return.

I haven't been back to this bakery for nearly four years. The first visit was late in the afternoon and the pastry cases were empty and the staff were miffed that I was asking questions about products. Second visit was similar so I simply stopped going back. After reading the new reviews here, I will try them one more time. Being from Miami, born there in 45, having lived in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Italy and parts of Asia and South America, I believe I know good pastry and old world bakeries. I will give it "One" more try to see if they have improved, if not, my review will reflect that.
