I have social anxiety, so when my friend recommended the Undergrounds Coffehaus I kept putting it off. Now I regret doing so immensely! The parking is simple and you go up this set of stairs into a charming space that looks like the ideal nerdy living room/library. There is an event space where they seem to host comedians and other events to the right of the stairwell. There is a television playing movies, incredibly sweet staff that seemed to be well loved by the regulars, used books for sale, art of display, coffee and an assortment of baked tater tots of different flavors. We stayed and read for a while, it was a peaceful and cozy experience. I didn't feel anxious at all and am looking forward to returning sometime.

Here's what I think about this place.
Cool hang out place -- Yes it is indeed a cool hangout place with a lot of chairs, tables, books to read, tv to watch so I would give a 5 stars for that.
Customer experience -- Didn't like the customer service over here. The lady was watching TV and looked like she didn't wanted to be bothered. And the whole service was very unwelcoming to the coffee house. I asked about Wifi and she didn't give me the password and had to ask her again.
For those reasons I wouldnt come back to this place again.

Ok so undergrounds has a special place in my heart. The first time I came I was blown away and weirded out, but I gave it a second chance and I am so glad I did. The coffee is good if you come right after they have made a fresh batch. The iced tea is phenomenal for the price. There is always something interesting going on at undergrounds. I often come after classes to get some work done. Fairly fast wifi and the staff are nice but sometimes a bit forgetful. I've been coming on about a weekly basis for a month or so usually with someone in tow. Last time I came, the front door was closed and there was a notice that they had changed their hours until further notice. The only real complaint I have is sometimes their selections on the TV are a bit loud, but it is mostly based on who's watching it.
In short, Undergrounds is a great place to chill and get some work done, not the best food but the tea is great.

My home away from home. This establishment is most likely my favorite place. It's absolutely comfortable to the hilt, I can spend hours here without ever feeling rushed or bothered, wether working on a paper or just in need of a quick caffine fix (I recommend highly the banana split, apple cider or really any option ,all amazing) ,I never am disappointed. This is also a wonderful casual meeting spot, which I frequently go to with my friends who all rave over this establishment after 1 single visit. Its always interesting here, especially since theres always a collection of books, artwork, beautiful assesories for sale and constant provided updates on unforgettable public events (aka concerts, ar galleries, etc.) Are always up and in eyes view so you'll always have something to do for your social calendar. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic, comfortable or just plain relaxing places. Truly a home away from home.

It was cozy, but the clientele was a bit off. I guess it's not my scene or something, but there was only one person helping us and they lacked good communication skills. The coffee was sub-par or average home made coffee at best, and the tots weren't up to the tot standard. Could be cool for events, but not really to just chill.

I don't usually review places, but I feel this place deserves one. To start off, this is located up a very sketchy set of stairs which gives off some creepy vibes to start off your visit with. Next they have an ILLEGAL "minnim card purchase" amount, if you're familiar with the rules of credit card processing you would know it's actually illegal to pass the cost of processing on to the consumer or require a substantial purchase amount to offset the vendors costs. Anyway, this caused GREAT embarrassment to both my date and myself. We sat right at the bar and it took way too long to get two shots of espresso that were actually ice cold by the time they were placed in front of us. We never got our desserts either until we were practically out the door and the server came running after us. Note, we sat and conversed for about 25-30 minutes, which was plenty of time for us to get two slices of pie. After we said "no thanks" they insisted we take our pie to go, but didn't have any to go packaging and had to make shift it.
Anyway, the overall vibe of the place is very weird too. Super young "hipster" wannabes and burned out older people. Maybe we went on a bad night, but looking at the waitstaff, it didn't seem like it.
Save yourself the trouble of finding this place and go take a walk on the beach instead.

My first time coming to this grungey, homey, nerdy, spot and so loved it! Feels like going over a friend's house as teens to play DnD and Magic the Gathering. Books, great drinks, nerds and geeks everywhere. I'm a big fan and will be back! Try the French soda, I recommend Coconut flavor. Sublime!

I love this place. An oldschool local cafe that feels kinda like a neighbours rec room. Hang out, read a book, watch a movie, meet a new friend and yeah have a coffee, too. From a time before global coffee chains, staring at your phone and pre-fab lifestyle consumerism. An old Florida vibe lingers in the air, or maybe that's dust, doesn't matter. Support your local weird business. I'll be back soon. 'hope you're still there then, Undergrounds Coffeehaus.

Absolutely love this place! They have lots of books to choose from, board games, and their coffee is beyond delicious. I love that local artists bring their art here to be sold. Just a really cool place to hang out
