Friend's Cafe

Was in Flagler for a family get-together to celebrate a birthday. We rolled up to this classic looking diner with 30 people expecting to be turned away. Not only did they pull half the tables in the place together, but we had coffees and orders placed before we could even get settled. The convenience and service would have warranted a good review on its own, but then the food came! Between the 30 of us we must have ordered the whole menu and everyone was happy with their food. I had the very filling and affordable pancake special and they were classic fluffy diner cakes.

Not only that, but after all 30 of us were fed the ONE chef and owner came out to check how everything was. I’ll never know how he managed to do that, but if I’m ever back in the area this is my spot.

I heard great things about this place and was so looking forward to finally eating here but sadly we were very disappointed. We decided to sit outside and they had their wooden tables covered in an old dirty plastic table cover which had a huge ash tray on the center of the table. I’m not sure what the wooden tables looked like but I’m sure it was better than the plastic.

Also, we noticed the servers and what looked like to be a cook were all smoking/vaping two tables over, in front of the restaurant. I get it if you need to smoke but maybe being presentable and going out back?! We had our baby so that was just hard to sit there and try to enjoy our meal/ time.

The food was okay and reasonably priced. Although, as I was finishing my food, I of course found a hair in my home fries 🤢. That was strike three for us. I will say the servers were very friendly and checked on us frequently which we appreciated.

We hope that this was just a bad day at FriendsCafe and that they can make adjustments because we truly love supporting small businesses. All the best!

My husband and I both had the crab cake eggs benedict. It was very good. The breakfast potatoes are fabulous. Could not believe how quick we had our meal. Service was very good

A nice little breakfast spot. I only gave it four stars based on the selection which is small but I’d give the overall taste of the food an easy 5 stars.

This was our first time here and won't be our last! The food and service are excellent! The Italian sausage was awesome 👌 They have been here for 15 years and know what they are doing! A plus was every table had some hand sanitizer.

Our favorite breakfast place! Hubby is super picky on his breakfast, but the fact that he can get creamed chip beef over home fries, he isnt looking back. Staff is great and you feel at home there. Love all the license plates on the wall.

Excellent customer service. There all very friendly, id definitely give them a 5 star,and would recommend them to everyone food is always fresh and delicious. My favorite place to go for there breakfast and chicken salad on a croissant

A lot of food for a decent price. Small community atmosphere. Very inviting. So many choices for breakfast.

We drive from Daytona Beach to visit our Friends Anna & Ed and have their yummy food. The Absolute Best Around. Friendly Staff and delicious food. We have been going there for Years. No other place Compares. We love you both and Proud to call you Friends ❤️❤️❤️

Atmosphere was chaotic. Customer service was pleasant. Food was subpar. Sweet tea was chemical tasting.
