Friend's Cafe

They call it Friend’s Cafe for a good reason- everyone is seriously very friendly! Expect to find good vibes and good food here. My husband and I visited on a Sunday. The menu says they only serve breakfast all day on Sunday which was perfect for us. I ordered the crab cake Benedict with grits. They nailed the hollandaise sauce and the dish was perfectly seasoned. The grits were watery but I added a little sugar and they tasted fine. My husband loved his food too. The staff was friendly, along with the locals cracking little jokes and having laughs. The coolest part is how this restaurant is military themed. It’s also right by the beach, so we were able to just go around the corner and park by the ocean to walk off a delicious breakfast before hitting the road. Highly recommended!

Great menu and everything was delicious. My waitress was terrific, I forgot her name sadly! Scrambled eggs w cheddar & jalapeno, great home fries, sausage gravy was outstanding.

First off...they say bottomless coffee, not the case. My husband & I were here several mths ago & he asked several different waitresses for a refill, held his cup as they went by & not one would give us 1 refill. The short grey haired woman was rude but we think oh maybe a bad day, pay & leave. Fast forward to today we take our grand kids so there are 6 of us, not busy so the lady at register says we can seat ourselves. We go to the tables put together & low & behold the short greyhaired lady (again) says you can't sit there its reserved, you can wait on this other big table that was full of guys eating to be done. So all of us standing in the middle of this place we decide to use a booth & table close to each other & we scoot it a few inches closer to our kids so to not crowd the "reserved table". Again she hustles right over and says "did you guys move this table?" Well yeah so when they come in its not cramped. That did not suit her again. She says well now the girl can't reach our booth. By this time after all the rudeness we say we'll we will just make this easier on you al, we left & went to a lovely restaurant in bunnell, The Southern Table. Excellent food, kind people, continually stopping with coffee & plenty of room for large parties. All while being a busy place. Worth the ride just out the road.

Wow Scrapple!?! I mean any place that serves this delicious fried breakfast meat of my Philadelphia childhood is okay with me. Service here is great! No fuss, serious breakfast menu. Awesome local establishment. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding.... Jan takes your drink order, Michaelene takes your food order and this amazing married couple Ed and Anna make some of the best home cooking I’ve had!!!

While I had as good time spending it with new friends inside the cafe, the food was far from being excellent. I know other locals around Flagler Beach area would know that the food was delish. As for myself I'd rather eat another eatery around town. Food was pretty good but not 5 star. The bacon tasted and looked burnt. I honestly felt like it was heated up via microwave. Really...you call that bacon?! As a family, we often times have bacon from Publix and it taste much better..if not cooked the right way. Not rushed!! I've eaten at other local restaurants that offer full dine in breakfast menus and being just as local...their food is much better. That's not just my honest opinion, its my experience.

Always a great place with excellent food nice breakfast menu and honest prices & serving size. Only complaint is they have outdoor tables we like to sit at cause we bring the pooch and they don’t seem to like to come outside to serve these tables. They have to “ask” is a server is willing serve front tables which is a big put off to us. Take the tables away if you don’t want to wait on them! My wife and I have tried several dishes and all were excellent & the coffee too.

Food was delicious (had the apple pie french toast) and the servers were great.

This was our first time in Flagler Beach and were looking for a place to have breakfast. We happen to come across Friend’s Cafe and feel like we won the jackpot. From the lady that greeted us and sat us at a table, to our waitress, Crystelle, who was an angel and very attentive, to the food, to the decor inside; everything thing was perfect. What a wonderful experience and if you’re in the area, this is a must; we definitely will be back the next time we’re in Flagler Beach.

I love this place!! This place always serves food very fresh!!! A wide array of options and love the atmosphere.
