We called and made reservations for 6pm that evening. We arrived at 6:02. The hostess belittled us for being late for our 5:00 pm reservation. We explained we had 6 pm reservations. She was snarky and not pleasant. We were seated in the back of the restaurant where the lighting is subpar. The food was also subpar and overpriced. Mixed drinks were watered down. One of our meals was forgotten and we had to wait for the waitress to appear to ask where the additional food was. This is NOT the same 790 that was on the beach. Our waitress was polite but being in the back of the restaurant we did not get the same service as at 790 on the beach. Out of sight out of mind I guess.

Food was ok. Not like it was in Ft. Walton. Tea was aweful and they still charged us for it. Couldn't fit in the booth even though I'm a very trim but tall guy. Kids running around our table constantly even though there were only 3 tables sat in the whole restaurant as we left. Not going back again. So many better options for a $50 lunch.

Terrible customer service. Made reservations for Mother’s Day lunch. No one ever told us they weren’t serving from their normal lunch menu. Luckily we looked at the website to see what we wanted to eat the night before and found out they were charging $40 buffet “brunch menu” not to include their usual $12 bottomless mimosas. Called to cx and all they did was send me a cancellation text. I never even got an rsvp confirmation text lol. Total deception. Used to be one of our favorite spots. This is a shame...

The view is the only good thing we experienced.. we arrived to the restaurant at 6pm. We had reservations for 2 and a toddler at 6:30. We went to the bathroom and then checked if we could be seated. The hostess didn’t even have our reservation…. But sat us at our requested table outside. The server took a little bit to get to our table. We didn’t get appetizers just two entrees. Mine came with a dinner salad. Long story short 8pm rolled around and STILL NO FOOD. Our waiter hadnt even been back in a long time so I tracked down the hostess to ask what was going on. We were going to just leave at this point. Around 8:20pm so at least 2 hours after we ordered and more than 2hours since we got to the restaurant, a manager came out with our food. He was not apologetic and said “food will take 45 to 50min.” I said we’ve been here for over 2 hours! & why would my dinner salad come out with my meal?? Clearly something happened. I asked for an extra plate and a water so we could feed our toddler. He never came back!! I served MYSELF water from a wait station next to us and my husband gave his plate to our toddler. The manager only took off 20% from our bill. We payed $76 plus tip for an awful night. It was also my birthday… honestly worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Also our waiter NEVER came back to the table. We were very polite and kind.

They offer a “cash discount,” which isn’t a discount. You just don’t get charged the credit card fee, but no one forewarns you about this. Also, we were told they “don’t usually keep change.” So they want to charge you for your credit card purchase but might not have the correct change when you pay in cash. Service was also TERRIBLE. No food is worth the hassle.

My friends and I go there quite often. The food is always amazing. Atmosphere is enjoyable. The service is excellent!

I guess we got really unlucky because all the other reviews are great. The View is wonderful. Our waiter was unpleasant at best - she did not want to be working on a Sunday which was sadly our anniversary. My food was fine but my husband who eats anything had 2 bites and would not eat it. The seafood was definitely frozen (NOT fresh) and by the time we could get any other waiter to get ours we just paid and left - it wasn't worth her attitude. Had truly hoped for at least decent :(

Had dinner there while in Destin on vacation. First, the online menu and menu at the restaurant were not the same. We finally settled for red beans and rice and beef stroganoff. Both dishes had unexpected seasonings. Neither tasted Iike they were cooked like Louisiana dishes as advertised and I'm from Louisiana. The server and atmosphere were nice but would not recommend the food.

We were looking forward to trying the new location but sadly was disappointed in our dinner. Two people ordered the Ribeye Orleans, one medium and one medium rare and they both came out well done. The gumbo was watered down and only one piece of shrimp in it.

Went to the new restaurant. Extremely disappointed! The pasta with grouper was floating in oil…The scallops were tiny unlike the photo. The grouper was good but the entire dish was over priced! My husband got the filet with ravioli. It was drowning in sauce and barely any ravioli. We were not impressed….
