Cozy place for gelato and coffee. Many varieties of gelato. The dark chocolate was exceptional along with the coffee.

Recommended by a friend and when we came here we realized that we have been purchased this brand for a long time .. great to get a chance to eat gelato out of fresh lol

Best place for ice cream in the area for sure, though this isn’t actually ice cream. The line was a little long when I arrived but it moved quickly. Their flavors are diverse and everyone should be able to find something they enjoy including gluten free and vegan options. Not many places to sit at this specific location so be prepared for that, but all in all a great place.

Delicious gelato but a bit pricey. Just get a large since it's 10% more than the price of small.
Pistachio gelato was amazing.

Best gelato I’ve tasted in DC thus far. Plus, it is in a vibrant and youthful area so you can easily pass by after eating in any of the multiples nearby restaurants.

Delicious gelato, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and interesting flavors! My husband had chocotorta and dark chocolate, and I chose chocolate Mexicano and ginger-cardamom-pistachio. Will return!

My favorite place to do research.
The coffee is amazing and the gelato takes you to other mood!

Not very good customer service. I asked them to warm my pastries, but not make them hot.
I got them a minute later and they were absolutely cold.
I asked the lady to warm them again and she refused, saying that they don’t do that!
So, does that mean I will be having a cold pastry here?
That’s a real shame! I used to like this place, but I’m not sure I’ll come again, nor would my friends.
Real shame! I’m sorry for the owners. Maybe they need to train their personnel better.

Nice! The matcha latte was great. No vegan /dairy free sweets though :(

Update 4/4/2023. Pre packed pints raised from $7 to $10 and hand packed (what I buy) from $9 to $11. I'll switch back to getting sorbet at Wholefoods for now since it's much less expensive. I will say that i like the current sorbet flavors: grapefruit, mango, honey pineapple. I'll miss strawberry tarragon and basil pineapple when they return.

Update July 2022: hand-packed pints raised one dollar but prepacked remain the same. Still worth it. The seasonal flavors are not pre-packed.

I'll give dolcezza credit for being much less expensive than pitango. Dolcezza charges $7 for prepacked pints and $8 for hand packed. Pitango charges $14 now for a pint (it went up from $10 recently). Also, right now, Pitango has a good blueberry sorbet...I bought 2 pints of it yesterday. The alfajores cookies are good too. I do prefer the pineapple sorbet at Pitango (over dolcezza's pinapple sorbet) but I'm not paying $14 plus tax for a pint...so dolcezza wins. Also, the staff is much more helpful at Dolcezza.
