Really nice experience. Solid coffee and kind staff. Space is bright and artistic. Would happily stop by whenever we're in the area.

Sweet local place! Reasonable prices, especially for the area, and tasty drinks. 2 espresso drinks (one iced and flavored, the other hot and not) were $10, including a $1 tip. Outdoor seating was pleasant, indoors was comfortable and sufficient. Aesthetic inside is a little bare/minimalist right now, so I enjoyed the outdoor a bit more for while the weather lasts.

I was in the area so tried this (new-to-me) cafe. I did what most baristas hate and asked the barista what her favourite hot and cold drinks are. The results were delicious.
Hot turmeric ginger latte had a great balance with a slightly stronger kick of ginger near the end. Like all tumeric lattes, it had sediment at the end, so I skipped the last sip. I got regular milk, but this probably would have been amazing with oat milk.
Iced honey lavender latte. I was worried it was looking too milk heavy, but the barista used great ratios of milk and ice to compliment the syrups and espresso. It is sweet (with Barista noted when recommending). Would absolutely order again.
Apple Pasty. Delicious. Definitely nest with a fork and knife. On the sweeter side, likely because I'm eating it following my honey lavender latte. Would be amazing with coffee.

Mi amiga loves it. I don't. There are only 2 sizes for coffee and neither are large yet it carries the sticker tag of a large. When they realize you're staying, they give you your $6 beverage in a teacup, like the teeny 8oz teacups, not a good ole 12-16 oz like it should be for those who work from there for hours.
The lavender drink they promote is overrated. Snickerdoodle flavor is seasonal and yummy but all the good stuff was at the bottom of the cup. Wasted goodness.

The service is nice. Like the outdoor sitting area. I ordered ice mocca. It came in the big glass. I will order for double next time.

Run to Creative Grounds for your coffee fix. I needed three gallons of coffee for a breakfast meeting and wanted to support a local and minority owned coffee shop. Creative Grounds exceeded my expectations, down to delivering coffee to my meeting location. Great communication with the owner and reasonably priced.

Really nice place! The vibes are perfect for a morning catch up date or an afternoon of homework. I had two iced vanilla lattes (both great) and a really good coffee cake!

An exceptional coffee shop with exceptional staff. The owner is one of the kindest people my wife and I have met. We hosted our wedding reception here and we loved everything from the space to the decorations. In addition, this is a DC family business so we are happy to support in anyway we can. Their coffee is also really good, a nice place to go for your morning boost.

Finally made it to the coffee shop, and what a treat! I ordered a classic Americano with an almond danish. The place was beautifully layer out and had a chance to sit by the window and a set of books were being sold. It was a wonderful cafe, with great service. The staff were kind and offered to warm up the danish which was divine. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their drink specials.

I love this place. The coffee is good, the service is friendly, the wifi is adequate, and there is plenty of seating for working or socializing. The outdoor window and seating area means you don't have to go inside at all. Plus, it feels great to support a worker-owned establishment.
