Rebel Dog Coffee Co. & Tavern PLAINVILLE

I heard great things about this place and was really excited to try it. My sister from North Carolina came in for a visit so I thought it would be fun to take her to a local coffee shop for breakfast. The staff was very unfriendly- like all of them. My sister asked for a dark roast and the person taking the order said they were all out. They didn't offer to make a new pot for her so my sister politely asked and they said they could. I thought dark roasts were very common. Like why not just say we're in the process of making a fresh pot for you! My order came out wrong. I asked them to correct it and the barista gave me some attitude. While I was standing in line waiting for my order to be corrected another lady was waiting a really long time waiting for a hot black tea and was getting super frustrated as well. The coffee shop didn't look short staffed. There were at least six people working that Wednesday morning. 07/21/21. Overall I felt super uncomfortable being there and I won't be back. I'm all about supporting local businesses but this was a disappointing experience.

Really disappointment
I ordered a Cuban sandwich which the bread was soggy they bring me a cold coffee The server was really poor that’s all I had to say first time here last time here.

I came in mid afternoon for a coffee. I don't live locally so this location is out of my way. The place was empty. The 2 girls at the counter ignored me, then said 'we'll be with you in a minute,' as they continued to try to solve some issue for about 15 min. If you want to get a quick cup of coffee, this isn't the place. I ordered the same coffee I had ordered the other day at the Farmington location, tasted different and not as good. I also ordered avocado toast and had to wait about 10 min as well, again the place wasn't busy at all. So, in total I waited closed to a half hour for a cup of coffee and avocado toast, when the place was pretty empty. Plus the food prices are super high for the value. Won't be visiting this Rebel Dog location again. It's too bad because this place used to actually be pretty good.

First time stopping in for a quick breakfast. Had an ice tea & corn muffin. The girls were really busy but very nice! What a great local place. I should have asked if they have any items that are gluten free or sugar free for a future visit. Plenty of seating available inside & outside.

I loved this place early on but my experience has been going down hill over and over again. One day ordered a Latte with extra shot and then was given a coffee instead- the barista said she couldn’t refund it. Then I’ve ordered online pick up a couple of times and the orders aren’t ready well after I get there and food would be another half hour wait, so couldn’t get my breakfast.
Also, the lattes are hit or miss sometimes taste amazing sometimes weak and cold. Hope you guys bring back to the way it was when I first started going there

Its a chill environment but their food doesnt really have flavor and the coffee tastes a little burnt.

First I want to start off and say we have been loyal customers of Rebel Dog. However, I am not sure if they have new staff or not but the mistakes and errors are out of control. My wife and I go here every Saturday. For the last three weeks our orders have been wrong 100% of the time. They just can’t get it right for some reason and it’s ashame because we really liked the place. However, they have lost us as customers forever and we will have to tell our friends who go there also. If anyone wants to message me privately I will show you photos of all our receipts, the food pictures and now the 6th card they gave us in three weeks for errors on food. The coffee is never an error but the kitchen is horrible.

Here is today’s mistakes just as an example:

Ordered:
Bacon crispy, egg, cheese on hard roll cut in half. Received egg sandwich with no bacon, no cheese and not cut.

Sausage, egg medium, cheese on bread and received burnt egg and cheese with butter

Asked for napkins and received nothing.

It’s just one error after another and I gave them the chance to correct it but was told to wait another 20 minutes. Evidently someone names Harrison manages the place but we have been unsuccessful in receiving a call back from anyone.

My husband and I like to find new places to eat and we saw a billboard advertising this place. I order the Cubano sandwich and it was the worst thing I have ever tasted. My husband order a sandwich topped with an egg, don't remember the name of it, but that was just as bad. The only good thing I can say is that the young waitress was really nice. This was our first visit and I can tell you it will be our last, also forgot to mention I was sick all the way home. MeCalvo

Delicious. What a treat. And the outdoor seating was great to be able to enjoy the time to chat after a walk.
