Years ago, summer of 75, I had the best bowl of chilli - ever! If I'm remembering it right, it was called the la rosa cafe. The interior pictures , especially those booths, fit the memory I have of that place . Any chance the Alpine used to be called LA Rosa ?

This was so nasty, I called the Health Department. There was baby roaches crawling on the chairs.

Great local cafe in Walsenburg. Stopped by for breakfast before we hit the road. Simple, good food, nice people working there.

Cute old diner type place and the food is good (breakfast burrito).

Clean the floor once in a while, maybe dust or replace the water damaged ceiling. The food was greasy and bad. But at least the service was slow.

hamburger came with rotten vegetables, half cooked French fries and mustard that has been on the table in an open container top for at least ten years. then the bill was $10 over because the cashier couldn't do simple math and had no register or calculator to assist. PLEASE DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU LIKE TO GET SICK

Phyllis is a great cook and wonderful host. I love the Alpine Rose Cafe for breakfast and lunch. Easy to find right in the heart of downtown Walsenburg. Wonderful food and wonderful people.

There were flies and gnats everywhere. The food was disgusting, and the bathrooms looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in years. This place needs to be put out of its misery.
