Such a posh mountain dining experience! It was a real treat to break up a ski day and enjoy lots of room, nice service, good menu, great view, upscale bathrooms and even a coat room in this beautiful lodge. Reservations are needed, so you’ll want to plan ahead. Portions were huge and definitely shareable. The vegetable risotto was very tasty, and hot chocolate was topped beautifully. A top notch Vail experience.
Best restaurant in Vail while skiing. Everything we ordered came out GREAT! Make sure you make reservations a couple of weeks in advance! I recommend the FUEGO Margarita and the steak salad. Kids loved their hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows ☺️
Been here several times and usually appreciate the good food and great service. This year, the management must be different though. Staff are harried and, while friendly, just not up to snuff. Today we were sitting outside and a bird flew down, landed on my friends plate, and flew off with a bun. The response was “you are eating in nature and at your own risk.” I get it if you are at a McD’s, but in Vail at the 10th?? Disappointing. Hope management is replaced soon so I can look forward to returning.
This review is focused on the service - my family ate there today and were presented with a very rude server. They ordered oat milk lattes and when they were delivered they were spilled all over the cup and it wasn’t a latte. There was no foam at all and it looked and tasted like drip coffee. The server argued with my wife and wouldn’t replace any of the drinks, nor would they pull them from the bill. The server was so rude my wife told the manager and he didn’t even offer to remove the drinks from the bill. Never seen this kind of rude service in Vail in our 35 years of skiing here.
The 10th is an iconic place on the mountain. The food is excellent, last time I had the elk chili which was fantastic. Depending on where you sit (bar vs Restaurant) and the day you are there, service can vary.
Fantastic experience each day for lunch on the mountain last year, yesterday, and today! It is the highlight of our culinary experience in Vail. Between the burgers, truffle fries, and chocolate chip cookies, it hits all the right notes. Kyle, the manager, has been nothing but friendly and a class act. Brett was a fantastic stand-in waiter on Tuesday. Adrianna did an outstanding job waiting on us Wednesday. Sophie was very helpful as a hostess. Let’s not forget Sasha, best bartender on the mountain. We will be back tomorrow!
This was actually the best meal we had in Vail. On mountain. Unexpected but true. Pricy but I would have paid more even off mountain. But they did serve bloody Marys in bud light glasses. Maybe just use clear cups?
