We went to the Chop House for dinner on our 25th wedding anniversary, and could not have asked for a better dining experience. We were seated in a romantic corner booth location, and served complimentary champagne. Our waiter was attentive without being obtrusive. The sommelier made an excellent recommendation of wine. From appetizer, salad, entree, to dessert, the food was beautifully presented and quite delicious. This is definitely a high-end restaurant, but judged by comparable locations, we paid less than we expected to. If you are looking for a great dining experience for that special occasion, I definitely recommend the Chop House.

Food is absolutely awesome! Can’t go wrong with anything, but our server Ian is the best!!!

The food was absolutely incredible, by far the most amazing I’ve ever had. The service was amazing, Randall was on top of everything and had a great attitude that was the cherry on top.

I have been visiting Telluride since 2009. I used to like the Chop House very much. It has gone downhill for food, service and cleanliness. The menu has been totally stagnant for years now, yet the prices keep rising. The chairs and carpet are dirty, it looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in years. A very limited lunch menu (half lame brunch items). The dinner menu revolves around over priced hunks of meat and little else. Too bad the management of this superb location doesn't care about it's customers.

Great old saloon hotel setting. Steaks were not cooked exactly to order but very good none the less. Avoid side mashed potatoes - dry & rather flavorless. Reconstituted from dry flakes? Brussel sprouts & roasted garlic heads saved the day! Excellent desserts.

Excellent food and service. We had a party of 7 and our waitress was fantastic. Would definitely eat here again. This would have been a 5 star if it hadn't been so hot inside the restaurant.

WOW!!! This place is awesome. They have wonderful food, incredible service, and a very nice wine / liquor list. If you are looking for upscale dinning in Telluride, this is your spot. The duck and elk entrees are fantastic.

We ate breakfast here during Bluegrass, which is one of the busiest weekends of the year. There was a wait (we expected nothing less given the mob of festival attendees) but it was well worth it and the service was spot on even though they were slammed. The truffle fries were fantastic as were the caesar and the reuben. The eggs benedict was good except for the hollandaise - it was lacking in lemon and could have used the extra acidity to balance the flavor and cut through the richness of the dish. The bill was not inexpensive but given the quality of the food and the location (Colorado Ave in Telluride) it was not unexpected or unreasonable. Lastly, the high ceilings, bright and airy windows, and historic atmosphere and details make the Chop House a lovely place to dine. We will be back for brunch and/or dinner on our next visit to Telluride.

Best place in Telluride for steak, classic Colorado meats (read: bison), fresh seafood (flown in twice weekly), and desserts...oh the desserts. Do NOT miss the bread pudding. (Local tip: Get the mussels, unreal bang for your buck and the sauce is so good you could drink it...I mean soak extra bread in it...)

The Chop House is great! One of the best steaks I have ever had. Mohamed gave us fantastic service and had great knowledge of the menu and was very good with suggestions for doneness for the meat.
