Chop House Restaurant at New Sheridan

We had a wonderful dinner here! I had the filet mignon, perfectly cooked, and my husband had the elk, also wonderful. Our server, Ian, was personable and attentive without hovering. The setting on Colorado Ave is lovely. We will definitely return.

Chop House always delivers a fantastic steak, lobster tail was also excellent. Not impressed with the lukewarm mashed potatoes but not insulted either. Service was attentive but the server never smiled, I guess that's fine. Not quite all I've come to expect from the Chop House but we did come without a reservation and ate in the Parlor, we'll remember to make a reservation next time.

The servers Kristin and "the sweetheart from Chili"were absolutely fantastic! They made us feel so at home from the very first moment we were seated. We were given a lovely window seat and the breakfast was delicious and hot! My husband is a fanatic about his coffee and they were on top of it during the entire meal!(phew!!). We made a reservation for 6p.m. that same evening. The table we were given was perfect for our dinner, being cozy and quiet. I will say we felt the selections for dinner were a bit too pricey as everything was essentially a la carte. My husband's sirloin was quite small and was unimpressive on the plate. We were also surprised that bread was not served with the entrees. My roasted chicken was tasty but again very small. Rube(n?), was very attentive and kind. On the whole we enjoyed our time at The New Sheridan. Thank you!!

Thank you for making our first dining outdoor experience during covid so comfortable and delicious. Filet was super flavorful and the shrimp were very fresh. Waiter was awesome and gave spot on wine recommendations.

We came here for our 5 year anniversary dinner when we were in town and we were defiantly not disappointed! Brian was there to wine and dine us and wine and dine us he did! We shared a Caesar salad to start, I had the filet mignon and my boyfriend had the New York Strip and we finished our dinner with some Acai sorbet. Thanks Brian for making our dinner memorable and being a great time!

Very degrading experience. My wife and I stopped in on our honeymoon on recommendation from some friends with property in the area, and we were sorry we did so. I recommend ensuring your party is of the appropriate pedigree prior to entering, you may be stopped at the door and offered alternate accomodations so you cannot be seen. We were dressed the same as anyone else, but the bartender swiftly recommended we sit in a corner near the entrance out of sight while seating people with film festival badges and no reservation. We will absolutely will never be back and do not recommend this establishment to anyone.

We did Dinner and Dessert. We had the French Onion, Caesar Salad, Filet, Banana Cream Pie. Oh my! Fantastic food and fantastic service! Been coming to Telluride for over 35 years! This place is #1

We stop for brunch, location of the New Sheridan is amazing, right in the center of town. Brunch was delicious, great service, my 2 kids enjoy the food and the fruit and juice was fresh. Plates are decent size, coffee was great. Price was what you can expect from a high end restaurant but it wasn't absurd.

My parents, wife and I ate here during the film festival and fell in love. Their steaks are delicious and cooked exactly how you want (my wife likes hers well done and they nailed it). They also have a solid drink and wine selection. One of the best steak houses experiences I've ever had considering the location, building history and service we had.

The bartender laughed at me when I ordered chocolate milk so I guess I’ll go sit in the bathroom and eat my eggs benny while tears stream down my face blasting Matchbox 20 on my iPhone 4.

French onion had me salivating though. The little white doily below the bowl tasted delicious after a little dunk in the broth. Oui oui.
