The Train Cars Coffee and Kava

Fun place! Friendly staff, the frozen yogurt and smoothie we ordered were delicious, and the decor was really cool. Lots of interesting vintage stuff. Maps, memorabilia, funny signs, etc. We had a terrific time exploring it all. This will be a regular stop any time we're near Nederland.

It's decent if you're just getting coffee. I got a small breakfast burrito Sancho's style, and it was $10.50 plus a 2.25% surcharge? What is the surcharge for? I also tipped on top of my order. Two drinks and the burrito was $25.

Wonderful little place in Ned. A must stop for all! Conveniently located next to the Carousel of Happiness! Great coffee and mini donuts. I get coffee to take home too! Guatemalan Heuheutango!!☕

This place offers a unique ambience and the mini donuts are outstanding! Plus a comfy space to get some work done. Perfect place to reminisce after you enjoyed the Carousel next door.

A very interesting set of old train cars. Lots of friends work here so good to see them when I go here. Great mini donuts and other good meal or snack options. Cool old caboose car. Great place to work from. Free Wi-Fi and outlets readily available. Still prefer happy trails for the vibe and owner.

They are amazing. All the staff. The Train Cars are a hallmark, super fun, eccentric coffee shop in Nederland. They have hot, cold, fruity and chi however you want it. Great muffins and chorizo burritos, brats and just my favorite coffee shop ever. Plus it is next door to the carousel of happiness 😀💙

I love the vibe of this place and always make sure to stop by when in Nederland. The service tends to be quite slow, and their internet (which they use to do transactions) cuts out often, so just be aware of that. Their coffee shakes are the best things on the menu - the mini cinnamon donuts come in close second. Just know that if you sit outside, the "Carousel of Happiness" is next door and has the most atrocious and out of tune music blasting. It's a cute carousel but the music is truly grating.

Totally cute little place. They ran out of mini donuts and were was to busy to make any more which was a bummer but definitely will be back if we are ever in town again!!!
