Great coffee, pancakes were light fluffy and taste wonderful, breakfast burrito was on point. The ONLY complaint is that the eggs on the G Town skillet were a bit undercooked. Still tasty and highly recommended though.

I can’t tell you how much of a blessing this place is. My buddy and I used Granby as our jumping off point for some Elk hunting this past week. We came out of the mountains after a few days in desperate need of some coffee. We stumbled in to the Java Lava and for two worn down Pennsylvania boys coming out of the mountains it was like an oasis in the desert. We were talked into some burritos by the owner and let me tell you, when you’re tired and worn down from days of hiking and playing in the mountains- those burritos bring life back into you!!! We made sure to stop back the next morning before heading back in to the mountains to start the next few days of hunting off with a full belly and lots of good coffee. The staff is super friendly, we can’t recommend Java Lava enough. To the owner: thank you so much for your friendly hospitality. You’ve won repeat customers out of us every time we will be in Colorado hunting.

My favorite thing to do when I go anywhere is check out the local coffee shops, so I consider myself experienced. Very sweet people. Very popular place. Don't judge by the outside it's pretty big. Fantastic coffee and great prices. I got the fluffernutter half sweet and it actually tasted like fluffy marshmallow fluff with the lightest peanut butter cups.

Wife and I had breakfast here August 2020. Food was excellent and serving was large. Great coffee too.. Probably the best meal we had while traveling around that week. Highly recommended.

What a great find! I brought my family through here on the way to Steamboat Springs. The coffee and espresso drinks are on point, but this place is so much more than a coffee shop. There is someone on the menu for everyone! I haven't seen a coffee shop with so many good, cooked to order breakfast items. Service was fast and EXTREMELY friendly (they seemed very thankful we were there), and the food was awesome. I will make it a point to stop here any time I'm in or passing through Grandby in the future, and you should do the same.

In our group we got French toast, pancakes (huge!), breakfast sandwich (with real ham), corn beef hash (real corned beef- not canned), and a breakfast burrito with bacon, smothered on green chili. All were large portions and every single one of us was thrilled with our breakfast!! We will be back!!

My family was vacationing in the area last July and this place is truly a hidden gem. We were reminiscing today and can't forget about this restaurant so I had to post this. Amazing food, coffee, atmosphere, and service. We will recommend Java Lava Cafe to anyone that we know would be even close to Granby. I can't imagine coming out to Rocky Mountain National Park again and not coming down here. This was one of the only times that all of our four children (ages 10-16) actually ate everything they ordered.

Five star experience for me. Ordered the Gtown Skillet with pork, eggs, potatoes and green chile sauce. One of the best skillets I've ever had! Great selection of coffee and other hot drinks, with a nice laid back atmosphere. Attentive service and friendly folks. Perfect morning stop!

I went to Java Lava for breakfast right at 6 am when they opened. They were already busy and I can see why. Their service was over the top excellent and they were so friendly!! I would highly recommend for a tourist like me.
