Java Lava Cafe

Friendly staff and good food. The menu is small so it's easy to make a quick decision, but take a look at the options written only on the counter!

As locals we count Java Lava as one of our go-to places for breakfast or lunch. Yesterday I had the huevos rancheros and it was delicious! Their coffee is always good too. Best lunch deal around is their taco Tuesday special. I highly recommend Java Lava!

Stopped in on our way to RMNP. There was a bluegrass festival at the time in town so it was crowded and the line was out the door well into the parking lot. However, the one man band playing was awesome and made the wait pass quickly. Ultimately giving 3 stars because our lattes were weak and watery - as if in steaming the milk, the milk got watered down. This is what happens when I make lattes at work with the professional espresso machine and either the steamer isn't hot enough or I oversteam the milk.

Took 45 minutes to get a bagel and egg sandwich. Ordered a sesame bagel on the menu. Was told by the food deliverer that they didn’t have those. They gave me a plain one instead…

Food was hot so that was good.

Charged an extra 4% for using a debit card. So all in all, not sure I will come back.

What a great little spot. It is a bit unassuming from the outside, but don't let that fool you! The folks working here are so kind and helpful, and the whole team works hard to keep everything moving. We enjoyed a great breakfast (don't miss out on the Christy Burrito!!) as well as a whole slew of coffee and non-coffee drinks. It can be hard when a bigger group comes in unexpectedly, but the Java Lava team took us in stride and didn't disappoint! Be sure to check them out on your way through town.

Stopped in for some breakfast before heading out to Rocky Mountain National. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. If you’re unsure of what to get, grab the pancakes. Probably some of the best pancakes we’ve ever had. If you’re not feeling flap jacks, you really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Every person in our party of 8 left Java Lava’s with happy plates.

Great little shop with friendly staff. Food was definitely on point. Worth a stop, but get there early; they fill up fast.

Had a burger with a bag of chips. The burger was very big the sourdough bread that it was on was excellent quality of the cheese was excellent. Some of the coffee was a little burned but it was okay. We'll be happy to go again but will request a rare burger instead.

The food, service, and experience were amazing! My wife and I ordered the G Skillet and pancakes, and both were perfect. Also the Ruby Cocoa is to die for.
