This established restaurant provides a rustic atmosphere, friendly service and really good food for the travelers along state highway 9 in Fairplay, CO. Excellent breakfast, I recommend the mountain scrambler or the high country breakfast, but really all the food is fantastic. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy.

Great breakfast ! Excellent wait staff. Prices are realistic.

This is a great little restaurant in the little town of Fairplay. They serve the same type of food you'd get at a Perkins or Village Inn, but in larger portions. Great old west atmosphere. The reason for only three stars is that because it is in a small mountain town their hours of operation are inconsistent and when they are open they are EXTREMELY busy! Expect long wait times to be seated and to be served.

It was pretty delicious, no real complaints of any kind and you don't wait long to get served. If you're passing by Fairplay and need a meal in the morning or afternoon then definately check it out.

Solid, diner-style food. Fair prices, friendly and accommodating staff, and very cool eclectic decor. Definitely get biscuits and gravy, a cinnamon roll, and whatever else looks appetizing! Our whole group was very pleased, keep it up!

Great little place. Had breakfast here. The staff was friendly food came out quick and was delicious. The decor was rustic, quaint and welcoming. I ate the breakfast quesadilla and there was so much I couldn't finish it. Every bite was great!

Very, Very, very busy! Because it is delicious! Expect somewhat of wait but worth it. Great burritos and cinnamon rolls. They have a great coffee and cream shop next door while you are waiting. Servers are friendly too!

I used to eat here quite often. However I stopped going bc of the wait. The food is average and when they say 15 minutes I know I can expect anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour of waiting for my to go order.

Brown Burro is the place to be in the morning in the small town of Fairplay. George is an excellent chef ( and person ). The entire staff there are very friendly and all have good service! The food is excellent, my personal favorite is Huevos Rancheros but I've tried it all and you can't go wrong.

This is a favorite local Cafe with a varied menu of burgers, sandwiches and Mexican dishes. Great breakfast choices served all day. It's not open every day, particularly in the winter. It can be very busy so don't be surprised if you have to wait. It has outdoor tables when the weather cooperates.
