Love this place-I am here often. I shared this with an employee butttt also wanted to share on here because I would love to continue to come back here :).

I strongly recommend making a vegan pizza option. If you make your own-and you add just veggies (no meat or cheese) it’s at least 10 more dollars then your other preset pizzas. I feel like that doesn’t make a ton of sense. It could be a simple option but one that also ends up being 15-20 dollars like your others.

This place has amazing pizza! My wife is vegan and she was thrilled to make her own pie with various toppings. Additionally my kids (9 and 12) loved the cinnamon rolls and smoothies.

Cool spot but I wish they had some single origin beans. Seems like the whole town of Estes Park is behind on the SO trend.

This place is okay, they newly opened so maybe they will improve in time. They need to learn how to pour their espresso better, good quality, but bad preparation. It’s not a craft coffee location. Also they give the impression that they want you to leave and have the upstairs roped off. If you order food everything is in to go containers. Basically saying please leave and don’t stare at our baked goods while you eat to buy more. This location has so much potential, will be interesting to see if this places ends up being successful.

Went to this cafe two days in a row. Everything was amazing, tried the smoothies, blueberry muffins, quiche, croissants and cinnamon buns. The blueberry muffins were the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Turkey Club panini was fabulous with homemade chips. Good portion size. We also had pizza, scones, croissants, and cinnamon rolls...all very good. The best Hot Chocolate and Coffee in town.

Ordered a cheese and elk pepperoni pizza and it was absolutely perfect for 2 for dinner. Fast, tasty, great service and a fair price. Also, awesome atmosphere in a very cool building. Check it out!

The Bird's Nest is such a gem in Estes Park! All of the juices, coffees and smoothies are delicious. The pizza, breakfast burrito and salads are also perfect for a quick bite while you're out and about. Overall, this place is exactly what Estes Park needs and it's a big hit with locals and tourists alike!

Interesting place.

Arrived at 0658 and placed my order. They had four baristas manning the front, as well as a separate dedicated kitchen in the back. The barista who took my order was kind, welcoming, and softly energetic. Background music is tasteful and at an appropriate noise level.

Prices (particularly the food products) are congruent with its elder sister dine-in restaurant, Bird and Jim, so slightly more upscale, but not incongruous considering the area, their brand, and types of products they sell. Good variety of baked products, hot drinks, and artisan pizza.

I ordered a breakfast burrito and cinnamon rolls. Cinnamon rolls were 4.5/5 - freshly baked with flaky exterior crust, airy and soft interior, and somewhat tangy cream glaze topping. Burrito was 4/5 - very solid and well seasoned. The pizza options seem well designed.

A few housekeeping items.

1) For a to-go burrito, it took far too long to complete. There was one party ahead of me who had ordered hot drinks, but I’m fairly certain I was one of the only customers present who had ordered food. The cinnamon rolls in the display case were promptly packaged, but I waited 20 minutes for a to-go breakfast burrito. Based on their menu, internal layout, and website, my general impression is that this establishment values high-quality products with expedited service, so the disconnect between expectation and reality was a bit jarring. I would prefer not to order online ahead of time, as there is a 6% third-party surcharge, and there is always the possibility the product won’t be as fresh compared to in-person ordering given the variability of online ordering vs pick-up times.

2) It would have been nice if the 2nd floor was open to the public. I understand this is primarily used for private events and even when not in use they may be prepping the area, but BOY would it be wonderfully delightful to sip on coffee and munch on baked goods in the solitude and warmth of the loft area, while gazing outside the large viewing windows at the mountains, even if just for a few minutes. They likely have their own justifications, but even trying to be empathetic, it was hard not to feel a bit disappointed. There is limited seating on the 1st level (some stools and a couple tables) and it’s too cold to sit outside in the early morning and winter, so it makes the 2nd floor that much more desirable. I’d be fine with just a stool, or even just standing up there.

3) While it only marginally took away from the overall product, the boxes they used to package the cinnamon rolls was a bit small from a height standpoint. When I opened the box, the cream glaze on each cinnamon was plastered to the top of the box. The barista was fairly delicate when packaging, so I suspect this is just an unfortunate oversight between the structural dimensions of the package and product. This did affect visual presentation and to a lesser degree, taste.

For now, this will be a once-in-a-full-moon kind of place, but I’m hoping with some adjustments and fine-tuning, this location could turn into a more regular outing for me.

We had to check out Bird’s Nest on our way into RMNP. We loved the atmosphere and vibe of the place. Unfortunately, both of our lattes were only 3/4 full. Always feel disappointed going out for coffee and spending $$$ to not get the full amount you pay for. Hoping it was just a fluke, as it’s the perfect location for a quick coffee heading into the park through the Beaver Meadows entrance.
