This is the definitive hidden gem of Elizabeth. The atmosphere of every room within has a distinct feel, with authentic retro decor that harkens back to a simpler time. The tea variety is exceptional, with hand-packed loose leaf teas constituting most options. The food menus are limited to a few options, as most tea shops are, but everything ordered is homemade and cooked to order. The quality of the ingredients and cooking far surpass anything in the area; to eat here is to eat well. The meal I ordered, a half reuben paired to an avocado caprese salad, was astonishingly well-executed. My dessert, a homemade peach and blackberry bread pudding, was otherworldly. The intense and well-advertised competition of tea shops downtown cant so much as hold a candle to the gourmet quality of the food here. There wasn’t an aspect of my meal I failed to enjoy. Even the service felt personal and familial. I’d highly recommend to bypass the fancified and overpriced tea shops of the metro area, they try too hard to take on a personality they can’t match. Carriage Shoppes does away with that and embraces a unique personality all it’s own, one that provides a far more fulfilling and cozy experience. I look forward to returning!

Best place ever for high tea. Highly recommend it!

I met the owner a while back at the hair salon. We were sitting next to each other and started chit chatting, and she told me about hers and her tea shop! A couple months later, my two sisters and I took our mom for her birthday for high tea, and oh boy, it was FANTASTIC!!!!!! The variety of little sandwiches and cakes were so delicious! And don’t let the sizes fool you, there was a lot of food! We each picked our own tea and got our own personal little tea pots. Everybody there was SO warm and sweet, and made sure we were having the best time! And we were!! And the entire ambiance was SO perfect and charming! Highly recommend!! I definitely want to go back. I live in SE Aurora, so it’s only a 25 minute drive for me. I enjoyed high tea at Carriage Shoppes Tea Room so much more than the one at the famous hotel in Denver!

Tea Shoppe is like nothing I've never done before. Its attached to an antiques store and has separate dining rooms. The building reminds me of my grandmother's house when I was a child. They served all the tea in individual pots for each guest. Several flavors to choose from. We had lunch there. A ton of food served like Grammie did. Each in or on it's own tray or tiers, very delicious each one. Way too much food, but they are prepared for that with take out boxes (not stryafoam). If you want a drive into the past go here.

I stopped in on a high recommendation to see what they offer. I found it welcoming, well organised and offered a wide selection of boutique items, treats and a select display of antiques. I recommend anyone seeking a touch of history in the original building to the area and need a gift this is your place.

We have been going to high tea 2 times a year for 24 years. We have been to almost every tea room in Colorado, from the Brown Palace, to Dashunbe, to smaller tea rooms, to the large castles but hands down, the Carriage Shoppes Tea Room was like none other! The atmosphere was cute, cozy, and quaint. The food was INCREDIBLE! Every single bite was delicious, you could taste the love that was put into every sweet/savory treat. The selection of teas was extensive and would satisfy all tastes. Christine was a welcoming face that felt like family, welcoming you into her home. In these uncertain times it was comforting to be in a place that felt like home. Absolutely a perfect day! Thank you for an amazing experience!
