Mellow Moon Lodge

What a hidden gem! My fiancé and I were driving through the mountains on the tail end of an unwelcome drive from Denver when we happened upon this adorable motel around 1am. They brought us in from the cold and set us up with a warm and beautifully furnished room within minutes. The next morning we woke up and stumbled over to the lobby to check out, only to find a flavorful coffee bar and fresh baked local bread. Don’t miss this place!!

The mellow moon is a great, little motel in del norte, colorado. The rooms are updated with modern features. The owners have equipped each room with a mini fridge and electric kettle and healthy mini bar options such as oatmeal, bars, kombucha and mineral water for reasonable prices. There's also fancy coffee options such as pour overs and espresso that can be delivered to your room in the mornings.

The motel is a short walk to the brewery, coffee shops, restaurants and shopping in del norte. Its a scenic, 30 mile drive to the wolf creek ski area and close to climbing and mountain biking.

The owners are very responsive and they have good COVID prevention practices in place. We received a text with our room number and entry code a few hours before we arrived so we didn't have to enter the lobby or wait for a key. The owners can be reached by call or text and are very responsive.

I highly recommend the mellow moon and will stay here again the next time I'm in this part of Colorado.

The restoration of this property is so well done! It was impossible to find a place to stay in the area. We called Mellow moon. They were available immediately, completed our payment online, and allowed check in right away! The comfy towels, organic sheets and bed and small batch soaps make this room a great deal! They also have a quality snack bar, small batch kombucha and Colorado spring water available. Single origin pour over and aeropress coffees in the morning just really sealed the deal. We'll only stay here from now on when we pass through Del Norte!

Super cute little spot. Cozy and clean. Would definitely stay again. Their commitment to reducing waste is amazing and nearly everything is reusable or non plastic. Only request would be to have more shelving to set bags on or gear out to dry.

The owners were super friendly, the room was spotless, easy parking, unique touches everywhere, comfortable bed and linens, free streaming on the TV, delicious coffee, and the provided shampoo/conditioner/soaps we're great! Highly recommend the Mellow Moon.

Great boutique hotel to crash at for the night. Excellent beds and shower area. Really great coffee, tea an sparkling water selection in the morning. It was a clean relaxing oasis after days camping in the wilderness.

Our room which was completely remodeled had a great tile shower and very comfy bed. Everything is super clean and the young owners are way into being excellent hosts.

Cozy ,comfortable , very clean and relaxing. Owners and staff are great and understanding and very helpful. My room was great! Almost like being in your room at home..
