Lauren at Mellow Moon is awesome! We loved are stay and it was a great hopping off point for getting onto the last leg of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Trail from Del Norte to the Mexican border 😀 👍!

Wonderful newly remodeled motel with an airy and eco-friendly vibe. Rooms are VERY clean and comfortable. They had great service and even gave us a complimentary upgrade. I highly recommend this place if you're staying in the area.

This place was amazing! Loved every aspect of it - a lot of bang for your buck. Great cool owners who sold us coffee in the morning and cold drinks at night. 10/10 would recommend!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here. Everything has been beautifully remodeled with great attention to detail. The linens and toiletries were great quality and we loved the attention to sustainable products. It was the perfect place to stay with our dog too. We wish there were more gems like this and we will definitely be back!

I stayed at Mellow Moon Lodge and it was so nice and clean. They have everything in the rooms you need. The beds are very comfortable. They also have a small refrigerator and coffee pot. The beds are so comfortable and linens are so soft. They have nice snacks if you get hunger. The owners are so personable and let you know if you need anything they are right there. There is a bike rental and repair shop attached to the lodge that her husband runs.. Love this place.

UPDATED: I am excited to stay here on our way through town again! I saw via Instagram that the new owners are making some really awesome updates (like the on-site bar, food, etc.!) - will gladly have a repeat visit!

Really like what the owners are doing with this space and hope it is successful! Room was lovely and had thoughtful touches, but seemed possibly unfinished? Lacking some furnishings (literally only a bed...nothing else) ...wondering if our visit was during a "shoulder season" as things looked a bit disheveled/under construction. A bit more robust breakfast or complementary food items in the room would have been lovely (there were options, but all at an additional cost, which seemed a bit much considering the price for the room). That said, we also understand that it's COVID times, so we may not have gotten the "full" experience. Would love to return in the future with bikes and/or skis in tow.

Such a cute updated motel. Was very happy with linens, electronic door, easy parking and clean interior. Air was very stuffy in our room so we had to run the fan all night. The popular soaps were nearly all broken but seemed nice. Would have liked proper lighting at the sink/vanity and a full-length mirror. Great curated minibar snacks. The sliding barn door to the bathroom leaves behind a gap, so keep that in mind if privacy is important to you.

I do a lot of traveling and was really excited to stay at the Mellow Moon. I booked the hotel for a second night because we enjoyed it so much the first but my daughter became ill around 10 the morning before check in and I was forced to cancel. I was still charged the full amount despite the fact that we never even set foot in the room.

I know there is a cancellation policy and I respect that but because I travel a lot with my daughter I have had to cancel last minute at least three other times at other hotels and this has NEVER happened. As a matter of fact, when other hotels find out about someone being ill, most offer to help in some way. Unfortunately, we received no sympathy and a charge of almost $200.

My husband and I loved staying at this hotel. It’s gorgeous - the owner (Jessica) has amazing design taste and attention to detail. Check out the lighting when you’re checking in. Our room was super clean with great linens and toiletries.

There was a celebration on the patio when we were in town, and all of the guests were invited! And, her husband opened a bike store so we were able to try out mountain bikes for the first time!

I highly recommend staying here when you’re in Del Notre. Also, make sure to ask the Jessica for recommendations - she gave us great ones hiking, breakfast burritos and places to grab a drinks!

We can’t wait for our next visit! Thanks for your hospitality!

Sadly, my experience was not so great with this place - I wish it were. I made a reservation on 4/19/22 at 2:03pm. I am a business traveller, so due to my business obligations at a hospital, I drove up to the place at 11:00 pm. Lobby was closed, and upon calling the main number, there was no answer. My reservation was through Expedia. I had to drive dead-tired another 36 miles to a nearby Alamosa to get a decent chain hotel, in order to spend the night and be ready for the next working day. The next day, I found a VM by Jessica and called her back. I tried to explained to her that I never stayed at her place, and she had tried to tell me that they have sent me "calls and text messages" to alert me of the lobby hours. I NEVER received a single text or a call. Jessica's story has changed from " we left you a text /call at noon, then at one pm", but that is impossible since I made Expedia reservation at 2:03 pm. Jessica's tone was rude, aggressive and not really customer friendly. I told her I will dispute it with Expedia and will leave an honest review, based on my experience. Having had this phone conversation with the Mellow Moon Lodge personnel, I would be hard pressed to stay there again, and I cannot, in good conscience - recommend this place due to such a poor, substandard customer service.
