Javalato Gelato & Cafe

The place is honestly cute and quaint but absolutely messy, dirty and not well maintained. Not sure they are short staffed or only clean twice a day, but the tables are stacked with past customers foods/waste and the “clean tables” were not clean rather sticky.

Quality of food is decent not something we’d think to go back to and try. Hope the maintenance inside can be improved that will probably make the experience and environment far better.

Pros.
1. The owner is very friendly. She offered some samples of Gelato.
2. Reasonable price
3. Good ambiance
4. Gelato is such delicious even vegan one.
5. The vegan noodles are very good.

Cons.
1. Gelato's texture is not like a genuine one. If you ever tried a real one in Italy, you will know what I mean.
2. The vegan burrito is not tasty and is very salty. It has mushrooms, corn, black beans, and tofu. The tortilla is burned.

Lady told us to have a seat because we were getting food and she kept taking other people's orders and never came over. Worst service ever. Maybe they need to hire more people. It's sad because the first time we went here it was a nice experience

I just went for the first time today(05/18/2023)! The staff was lovely!!! They were so kind, helpful, and friendly. Asseniya(I am positive I spelt that wrong I’m sorry) was wonderful and so was Dylan! They really made our day and I will definitely be back!! I also have a gluten allergy so was so happy to see all the gluten free options. Thank y’all for such a great experience!!

Sit back and enjoy this cafe! Fast service, great coffee, and food/gelato! The staff was phenomenal and helpful. The selection is excellent! The Gelato is amazing!

The menu here is AMAZING. They are very vegan friendly and the owner is SO nice and accommodating. The vegan yuca fries are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. From taste to price to service, this place is incredible!

This place is no good in anyway. Looking for a sweet treat for my kids, and myself. There was a hair in my son's scoop of Gelato and my daughter didn't feel well after eating hers. I also ordered some food for myself and there was no flavor. Waste of money, time, and my daughter with an upset stomach. Not a happy mama.

This place is soooo cute! The entire shop is aesthetically pleasing. They have a lot of vegan icecream options that's not just sorbet 😍 there's also some vegan food menu items. The owner is super sweet and adorable. It was also really affordable, which was a pleasant surprise (only $4.85 for 3 large scoops!) Love that I don't have to drive all the way up to Denver for some good vegan food and love that they're open until 9! I feel like that is very rare for icecream shops. I can't wait to take all of my friends and family here the next time I visit!

Update: Tried their vegan burrito and it was bomb!

If you are hungry don’t go here —portions are very small.
If you want good quality tasting food — don’t go here, no flavor and doesn’t even put what you order in the food. I ordered AVOCADO toast, wanting AVOCADO. This was an order that I picked up. Got home 15 minutes later and NO AVOCADO on the toast. I also ordered a kids cheese quesadilla. My son is a picky eater and loves tortillas, but does not like bread. This was a very small round breaded, two pieces together with no cheese and some kind of fake meat. He started crying and didn’t eat it. I called to tell them about my messed up order and the owner Jeff refused to reimburse me. Very poor customer service, you should ALWAYS make your customers happy. Will not be going back here ever again.
