The atmosphere here was wonderful! I went during the week around noon and it was very quiet and cozy. Perfect place to get some work done, reading, chat with friends, make phone calls, etc. It’s spread out and the music is soft background music. I’m not a coffee connoisseur so the latte was just fine for me! And the ham cheese croissant was light and fluffy. Goodbye Starbucks🤗 . Also, it’s not affiliated with the church in case that’s a concern for anyone.
What's a big bonus of a church coffee shop? Super friendly prices! The staff is warm and friendly, the menu has enough options to be interesting without being overwhelming. Featuring local roasters also ranks well. Furniture and ambiance is a little sparse, but, hey, this is a multipurpose space. Definitely looking forward to visiting 1979 again soon.
This is a hidden gem in Colorado Springs. It is part of a church and a little challenging to find, but worth the effort. Positive feelings and mood, quiet and tables well spaced out to accommodate meetings without having to worry about eaves dropping. I am excited to have been introduced to this hidden gem.
The service was awesome, the venue was clean and had lots of seating options pre-COVID. Most importantly, the espresso was on-point. The roasters do an excellent job. Wish they had longer hours or were open weekends.
A clean and quiet coffee bar selling fresh brews and a few baked goods at a fair price. We went on a weekday morning. The place had an airport travel vibe.
I had the Ethiopia when I visited a few months ago, and it was by far the best coffee I had during my entire trip to Colorado! Everything was super clean and there was plenty of space for seating. LOVED this place!
Great coffee, great prices, great people. I've tried a few different coffees and they're all consistently delicious. The prices are the best I've seen anywhere in town. Every barista I've interacted with has been friendly, knowledgeable and fast.
The atmosphere and people were awesome. There was somthing "off" with the coffee. I got a latte with an extra shot. It tasted almost sour. Maybe the milk was bad, I dont know. I got it to go, so I was already gone when I took my first sip. 3 stars because the people were cool, and the space was clean and neat.
Great place, awesome coffee, service and atmosphere. I personally don't mind that they are attached to a church but I know quite a few folks that this makes them uncomfortable to try it. The other issue is finding the place, you have to drive around the church parking lot for a bit before you see it.

We had a matcha and a chai and both were really not good.
