Cool River Coffee House

I was not impressed with cool river. In the middle of placing my order the person taking my order turns to another person behind the counter and starts talking about the song on the radio. After she was done talking about the song decided to continue taking my order. I bought a blueberry muffin and two apple fritters and it cost $ 17.00. I also had asked about cinnamon roll because it was one of the things on there website, the response was we decided we didn't want to make them today. The apple fritters we couldn't eat because all you could taste was grease or lard. I will not return because of the service, the cost and the food.

Let me start with the good: they have great service, the baristas are kind and we got our order promptly. My husband's biscuits and gravy were delicious, I finished his because I couldn't finish my meal. The bad: Espresso is sour!! Not pleasant. I got the veggie bowl and the potatoes were dry and the whole meal wasn't quite hot. The spinach wasn't cooked which caught me off guard and it just was not a pleasant experience food and coffee wise.

I come here every time I’m up from the front range and each time I find something even better. This little gem (below) has been hidden from me for years under an abbreviated name!! I highly recommend!! Best breakfast burrito ever!! Why has not one though of this!?

Delicious vegan breakfast tacos and their chai was spicy and not too sweet. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Pastries and coffee were not bad but the forks and knives were dirty! I was surprised to see the first and the second forks I picked had dry food scraps and oil stains on them, and I was shocked the third and fourth fork were also dirty, just like the first two. I told the staff and she calmly told me just leave the dirty forks outside of the utensils tray. I hope they treat their food with much cleaner standard.

One of the worst burritos I’ve ever had. Smoothie was great though.

Viking sandwich (salmon on bagel) was delicous as was my dining companion's spinach salad. Outdoor dining and good social distancing in place.

So cute, had the sweet veggie burrito and it was SO GOOD! And an Oat Milk Chai Latte for a drink, can never go wrong! Go visit!
